Please do more of these. So much more fun with the variety. You're so enjoyable to watch so it's fun to watch even if you don't showcase only one tank. Just a regular game with a full lineup are also very enjoyable to watch while you play.

I love playing SPAA at low to medium tier, but mainly because so many people are bad at it that planes tend to ignore you… making it super fun if you know what you’re doing.

the M19A1 and the M42 are good SPAA tbh. i have shot down more targets with them reliably then most others i have used outside of Radar Guided ones of course. SPAA can, unbelievably enough turn an entire losing battle into a winning one, simply because they can, if clever, shoot down aircraft easily by using the terain against them. i get your point on only using SPAA as a last resort, seeing as you are a really good Pilot and all, but they are much more useful then most give them credit for. it's all in how you use them.

Another bad habit people have pick up from RU-vidrs, ignoring caps. Lost many games because players will just drive straight by points without even resetting them to try for a kill

Yes!! More of this please!! I would love more of this active gameplay commentary style with an actual lineup within a BR, it helps massively with learning to think like a tanker. I very much appreciate this content as a new player still trying to make it in 5.0. Your tank specific challenge style is fun and it helps me understand stengths and weaknesses to the showcased tank, but I still very much struggle with positioning and spotting people before it’s too late from a distance. This is an excellent potential remedy to help that. Someone here suggested a series where you cover every BR with every country, not only would that content last you a long time, but you could find plenty of examples of utilizing different concepts like how to use your Binocs effectively to what makes a position or piece pf cover effective; Also which concepts each country can take advantage of. It’ll teach new people HOW to think for themselves rather than a cookie cutter tutorial. Also wanted to edit this to mention you could point out what positions you wanna fight over on specific maps, such as tricky maps like Hurtagain forest or the ass end of fields of whoremandy. You could even implement a Tobii Eye tracker. When I get employed again, you’ve got another discord/patreon supporter. Whichever one nets you the most money. You’re appreciated Odd, god bless you.

It is defenetly not the best way to grind warthunder but sometimes i do it to, sometimes i just love to only take a tiger 2 or 1 out and just create a massacre without dying, its hard to have fun in warthunder but that is.

lol I have over 10000 rounds on the stats tracker, and I still end up playing BR3 as the higher ones grind up my golden lions too fast.

Kinda sad they nerfed the m18s speed cuz that's what its made for, still good but sometimes you just lack the extra bit of power and speed to get to locations you used to be able to get to.

I don't understand why when you're pinned down and your turrets out, you don't use your artillery before you are sure your gonna die.... Especially when you have a couple of enemies right next to each other and they're barely moving if at all. I mean, I'm just an average player so maybe there's something I don't know, but it seems like if you don't use it you're just going to lose it.

I try and bring 5 vehicles minimum. 2 meduims 1 TD 1 light and 1 AA usually. I go AA because I'm better at them than CAS

I've been saying this for so many years now... Not only do RU-vidrs bring only one (or two if you count the plane) vehicles, but also they usually only play for kills and don't play the objectives. So many times when you actually pay attention to the videos, you'll notice that despite getting a lot of kills and having an action filled battle, their team usually loses because the best member of their team (usually the RU-vidr) isn't playing the objectives at all.

Well, I hate war thunder, so I only bring 3 or 4 vehicles so I’m not stuck in a match I don’t want to play. If im doing well or having fun, I can stay till the end of the match. If my team abandons me in the sky, and the enemy starts spawn camping, I can just leave.

It's normal to solo flank, most of the time people are really dogshit and either they shoot into you the whole time till you get around or just rush to caps

Change all your settings. Copy a pro players controls. Get in freeplay/training. Learn wave dash, half flip, fast aerial. Use RU-vid.

Hey Odd, I'm interested in hearing more about your opinion and your roles for your SPAAs. So often you hear CAS mains say "lol just play AA" when faced with criticism while so many of them are unwilling to play SPAAs themselves. As someone who is a really good CAS player, do you feel that SPAA is unfair to other CAS players? or do you simply not enjoy SPAA gameplay? I'm interested to hear the other side of the story as I am someone who enjoys supporting the team with AA, specifically the Stormer.

well unfortunately i don't have 101 million sl so i don't bring that many vehicles due to each one costing 8k and i have 21k sl

Much needed and helpful vid on lineups in general @OddBawz Would love to see you take us through the meta lineups as a series. Have to disagree with you on the au-1 though. In uncontested or lightly contested situations it can take over a game. And btw they increases rudder authority a while back so after dropping it has acceptable CAP performance.

👍. If players only bring out 1 vehicle/ match. They r well……. And should be penalised for it! Unless the mode calls for only 1 vehicle ie air rb. Because for whatever reason the current meta is for teams to ghost. Which penalises the whole team not just that muppet. It’s actually quite frustrating with lights well any player going to the sides of the map. When they go in groups of 2 or more plus they don’t bother to spot or scout the area in front of them. 2314. Some people think they own spots on maps. Pretty pathetic really. At least when u run cas. U actually go after planes. I wish most other cas people did the same!

One thing I'd like to see you explore with the line-ups is doing just a 5 vehicle line-up, as that is the max number of crews you can purchase without using GE. Would be a good example for the free-to-play or just straight up el-cheapo (like myself) users.

Similar to your How to CAS video, I think it might be neat to see you do a How to SPAA video. Mostly showing the basics of not firing at targets 4km out and getting out of the spawn. Possibly make it a How to Anti-CAS including tips on good fighters or how to prioritize targets. There's a lot of players out there that hate CAS in ground RB and it might be interesting to see something useful that helps players learn to manage it better. Both in lower BR and high tier play.

I wish players at higher tiers would use lineups. Makes some nations unplayable around 9.0-10.7. Your entire team just dies once and leaves the game making it impossible to win.
