My mom too tells me to sit in the temple after praying and she is from north india and now we are in north east, India ...🙂✨ But for few minutes we sit and then return back to home .
I totally agree.Realized this some years ago, that the truth is, it is when i need to go to the temple, i am when i am most further to God.. i hv my own mechanism of recharge.My temple is in my heart.God is in me, just as God is present in every single living thing that is alive in nature... i do enjoy praying in temple.I find comfort n assurance in the rituals and understood fully why i should sit there after the ritualistic prayers.I sit there n meditate.Sadhguru is not wrong in his analogy.Temple IS a public battery charging place.However, if you already hv own temple in your heart, it is always open for same original purpose temples were built for : Contemplation on God.
Fully agree with you sadguru but today, all said n done, there are huge crowds visiting temples like the Mumbai local trains, v are pushed inside the temple by the crowd n literally pulled out by the security people, not giving us even 30secs to look around. Very sad indeed. Forget prayers, even to sense the energy v should be capable of having the lightening speed.
True guruji. I love sitting inside The very old temples , when it is not crowded. The gudimallam temple, trichur vadakkunatha temple.... Many other Kerala temples ,where they keep silence are fantastic.

Yes. As a young girl I used to go to Kapaleeswara temple in Mylapore in the then Madras, and Sri Sai baba temple regularly with my grandmother. I used to wonder why she would sit in a corner place and be quietly sitting or saying some prayers by herself after walking around the paragraras. I would be looking at different parts of the temple and enjoying the sculptures. My grandmother used to say that going to the temple is not just to pray but get the energy from the place which one cannot get sitting in the house but only in the temples.

With due respect to Sadhguru ji🙏🏽, why do in all of the Sadhguru’s videos abt the culture born in India, it’s all white people,USD dollar shown in the videos. It’s very unfair to our culture. I am asking WHY DO? Why don’t u show Indian people, Indian rupees? In any thing, the white peoples never ever show any Indians or rupees in their creations or culture. Only we Indians do. It still shows and proves that we r still suffering from inferiority complex of colonial era and feel ashamed, not proud, of our culture. No other race except Indians, do it.
Some people who go to temples and provide offerings and get blessings from deities, which is good. But some people are just going to temples for no reason or just to accompany with someone and discuss about nonsensical topics instead of spiritual engagement. Every time when I visit temples only few are meditating while some just sit there and staring at others or talking about something else with someone.

In the recent history also many pure devotees had interactions with their worshippable deities. They are not idols, but are deities. Sadguru may have got only partial realisation.. that is brahman realisation only. For him what he says is true but not absolute truth. He has to further advance.

I feel Sadguru need to be careful with his words...because it can play into the hands of irresponsible people..or people who don't have a deep understanding of what he says and take everything at face value..We need to bear in mind that places of worship also has a social value...just like our deities..they give meaning ..and the involvement of the divine in our daily activities..like music, education, pursuit of wealth, dealing with obstacles in life etc. I suspect..it is this approach where the divine touches every aspect of one's life ..that make its followers more tolerant, peaceful and contented...compared to those who view life on earth.as just a gateway to heaven..that should be accomplished at whatever the cost..Ironically, deep down many don't believe in it..which explains why there is so much psychiatric problems, conflicts and atrocities within countries that strictly follow these religions...

North indian also sits for some time in temples and some people sit there for hours. Even i when visit a temple spent some time there. And in north india there are thousands of temples including temples in himachal and uttrakhand devbhumi where people spent not some hours but days and months altogether. So it would be better if he dances on ali maula on shivratri on his personal ashram programmes but it would be better for him if he dont take responsibilities of all hindus that how to pray and where to pray by them.
