What gets me is when RU-vidrs buy for the sole purpose of content. I know you didn't do that with the Kate Spade bag. They unbox the bag and then return it. I only buy what I intend to use, and don't buy for content. They can refuse to sell to you if you return too much.
I think RU-vidrs, who buy for content are big-time luxury RU-vidrs, who need to do that for a living. They have an audience that trust their opinion, and their first impressions of the bag/item. I think, as long as the RU-vidr is transparent about it, and doesn’t use the item, it’s okay to return it. I’m not one of these RU-vidrs😅😅 I wish I was🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching❤️❤️❤️

I returned two bags this year, I unboxed them on camera, but didn’t use/wear them. I think every bag should have a tag on it - and once the tag is cut off, no returns possible anymore
Hmm.. the person could try to conceal the tag still with a clochet😅😅 I’m just so paranoid about getting a used bag that I paid full price for, so much so that I’ve really overthought it😆😆
Everything you mentioned is exactly how I feel about people returning bags. I really think stores need to shorten their return window. It’s so messed up and unsanitary when people return used items, especially bags! Buyers regret is not a good reason unless the item is completely un-used and still in its proper packaging. This is honestly why I don’t like to order items if they aren’t available in store or online. I dislike having to return things

Yes! I absolutely agree with you that although, there is a generous return policy, the bags should not be use other than trying it out at home just to see if it's something you really like and would work for you. The luxury stores should have their tags strategically placed like FP so that buyers cannot use them outside the house and once you cut the tag, then its yours.

That’s definitely a much more mindful and intentional and honest approach. I think it’s fine to return a bag if it was defective or did not meet your expectations on first impression. Totally agree that that is the appropriate approach. I know you’ve had issues with some corner, wear on one of your new Birkin. If that was a quality issue that a person discovered upon using the bag, I do think that they have every right of returning that even after use.❤️❤️❤️
Returns are definitely a hassle. That’s just the disadvantage of shopping online and not being able to choose the actual product you bring home. No way! You have to buy the model that you test drive? That’s so bizarre. Sometimes the issue in Australia is that the stock is so little. You often test drive the model and then you have to wait. Six months to one year for the vehicle.😅😅
I think doing that is crazy. We all know people who buy something for a special event with plans on returning it the day after. 😂 I agree with purchasing over and over and over to unbox on your channel then returning every single time. I don’t mind selling down the line, I do that way too much. If I have a relationship with an SA I really hate to return even if it’s not for me, because I don’t want to put that off on them. I will usually keep it a few months then sell it on. I think people are smart, they can tell who is being genuine and who isn’t. Great video! ❤❤❤❤

I so believe that people do that use their new bag and return it. I wanted a limited edition LV bag and I used it then in a couple of days I emptied it and there were like scratch off dust or eraser inside. I did not do either. I kept the bag because I knew I may not be able to get another one. I'm half Asian and I like new things. I can't stand used cars for me. Now If I had to I'll get a used car but never had to. I enjoyed this video.

I agree with what you said on this topic. I returned bags due to poor quality issues. Those bags should have never been passed through quality control. One of my bags came with scratches on the leather. That was unacceptable.
Oh definitely return if the bag is defected. I returned my lv x yk pumpkin speedy cos LV repairs themselves said that it was defective and could not be repaired. I was so heartbroken 💔 Thanks for watching ❤️😊😊
I had to return a bag.. because it was used! I ordered from Coach Outlet and upon arrival, it already had a candy wrapper and bobby pin in it. Very frustrating. The sales associate did say that they do ship sometimes from stores when you use the site.
omg agreed...we asians don't like to return stuff. here in Manila we would only return for refund/ exchange if the items we got are either Missing/ Wrong or Damaged...but if our return reason is "Change Mind" we will not return and just keep the bag/ item and just make it work. It’s frustrating when you buy a “new” LV bag with raw vachetta and it’s already in the patina process. More than likely it’s been returned once or even twice. And because LV doesn’t factory wrap their bags, one never knows!
Hey Julie! I asked a heated mess who used to work for LV. So LV cannot stop vachetta from developing patina even in storage. So a bag that has patina doesn’t indicate used. But we definitely never know 😩 with their 30 day return policy though, if there is doubt, I would return😅 Thanks for watching ❤️❤️

Hi. Great topic. I think it’s a kind of case by case thing. I think it’s awful for someone to take a bag out of their home for a test run and then return. If I purchase a bag in person I test it in the store and put my things in it so there would be no reason to return. But when I purchase online, there’s always a chance it may not work for us. I never have the intent to return, but if it doesn’t work out, at these prices, they need to go back. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 😊

I feel like, someone will buy it, take it home, be out in public to display the bag, once its accomplished, will return it, get a refund and buy another one, go out again in public for the world to see. It goes on and on and on....My principle is, once i paid for it, its mine, items purchased straight from the store. If online, as soon as i saw the product is damaged, i will return it right away! I know we all have our own reasons and sure, some have a valid reason why they had to return the item, i get that! But not after 29 days please. Just sell it! This is my opinion haha. someone did that to me she bought my limited edition speedy 30, carried it for a week, and then sent it back with a bunch of stains and ebay only protects the customer🙈
Interesting topic! Having worked in fashion e-commerce for a number of years, I know how much stuff gets returned. The loss over items that cannot be sold after a return anymore are already massive and companies would go out of business if we’d demand brand new items only. As long as a bag looks brand new, I don’t really care what has happened it, it’s also fine if packaging and stickers have come off. I set myself to a higher standard with returns however and try to keep everything in tact until I’m sure I’m keeping the bag. It’s hard/annoying sometimes though because straps can be attached to parts of the bag where it has become impossible to try them out. 😂
That’s a really sustainable mindset, Lo. I have received a pair of shoes that I suspected were returns but cos they were still looking brand new, just packaging removed, I kept them. And that was also partly because they were on sale and it was the best price I could get😅 but for high end luxury, I couldn’t stomach it if it’s been out galavanting for a whole day being actively used🤣😅

Really!? I thought Louis Vuitton never sent anything with tags. And because LV is the brand that has a very strong online presence, I think this happens most commonly with LV.💔

I’m from Japan and live in usa. In Japan you can’t return because you don’t like it, it’s only bags have an issue. In USA I’ve bought expensive shoes and bag on online like Nordstrom. (Full price). I got very dirty shoes and bags which clearly someone used. I returned them but I couldn’t believe that I got dirty products. 😅 Now I buy at only stores and make sure everything is perfect. lol I liked American return policy but now hated it 🥲
