Very informative video bulu bhai. Learnt a lot from your videos. In 2023, I did solo trip to North & East Sikkim from Balasore. For me, it took nearly 5-6months of preparations. I am planning a Ladakh trip (to Hanle, Umling La) this year or in 2025. It might be a solo trip, as it is difficult to convince any friend for long bike ride. I will start planning after watching your solo trip to Ladakh playlist.. [I am a colleague of Pal Sir (Union Bank)]
Every word Bulu bhai says is true. But i did my first life ride solo to Umlingla. Vadodara- jammu - Train then On bike. Dominar 400 My age 58. No medicine No Oxygen. 25 September noon 12 O'clock -11 degree at Umlingla. Fell 3 times on Nerbole top. Took unmarked dirt route from Hanle. The 27 episodes are uploaded The trip was not for ego but to come out of depression due to my spouse. She left me and harrased with multiple court cases. Today i am a free person. At 60 planning Siachen Solo. Mental Toughness, critical planning and Upperwale ki kripa. Do check my numbered videos from 1st to 27th.
This is absolutely true. I just completed the Solo Ladakh circuit starting from Manali and returning via Srinagar. Yes, this was my first ever Ladakh trip, and I rode my KTM ADV390 throughout. Let me tell you, whatever Bulu says, it is absolutely true. I am uploading the full GoPro footage on my channel so you can check that out. But man, on the first day from Atal tunnel to Darcha to Sinkula top, my bike broke down. While climbing Sinkula top, there was extreme off-road terrain and downstream water; I burnt my clutch plates during this ordeal. I was all alone with no network and food, so a guy helped me by pulling my bike with a nylon string used for hanging clothes and dropped me to BRO Helipad down below. From there, I towed it to Keylong, installed Dominar 400 clutch plates, and took my bike to the Leh KTM service center. The place where my bike broke down also burnt clutch plates of a Suzuki V-Strom 800 and a few Royal Enfield bikes; that place wasn't bike-friendly at all. Boy oh boy. Then the next adventure happened between Nyoma and Koyul; there was sand and no road. Within a 50 km radius, there was not a single soul or living organism. There, my bike fell down on me, along with 300+ kilos of loaded bike (180 kg bike weight (with mods) + 30-40 kg luggage (claw Bag), my own weight with gears (100 + 5 or 6 kg) + also 10 l of jerry cans)and other modifications. I wasn't able to get up, and there was no one around to help me. Only I know how I pulled through.
@@saadhidayat425 Apart from the clutch plates, all my after market modifications didn't perform well, Zana bash plate broke, Zana back rest broke because of luggage, my mad dogg scout x stopped working as the relay in the wiring kit didn't make it, but the stock bike didn't give my any troubles apart from power loss at high altitude.
I (Age -29) had some time & budget for a long ride in 2022..... Me including my 3 friends decided for our "the First ever ladakh trip". We were somewhat short tourers" Then after very much family drama (Bhubaneswar, Odisha so more drama) I convinced my family but my 3 friends either had issues with family or office. Then i found my self alone .... I thought about Ladakh but i was afraid... So thought about North East ..... Motorcycle Pulsar 200NS yellow . Baggage - One Rynox saddle bag, One tank bag, One tool kit & One hydration bag (borrowed) . Riding gear - Studds helmet, rynox jacket & pants (borrowed), old highly used dsgear gloves that i brought from Bangalore (this fits my hands perfectly), shoes was something made like pvc, ankle hight with steel toes (initially very uncomfortable too ... Size wise was perfect but too much gap coloumn wise - so added some old memory foam attached with a undersole & wear it with either thick socks or 2 socks ps - my hands & feet never sweat). Then started from Bhubaneswar at 4.30 am or 5.00 am . Just starting 5 mins I had doubts ... Then i saw a small hanuman temple at urali which was just 20km from my home where ijust started. I went & prayed before the closed gate of the temple. Temple Nana (dark musk, 50s, energetic) just came with flowers in his hand, opened the gate, invited me, and put it in my neck a hanuman tabiz which was stored in god hanuman feet offered money but he rejected & blessed that lord Hanuman is with you wherever i go in my limits i will be safe & after returning safe & sound that i should bring food groceries & items so that he, me, & another sevayak will cook & eat lunch. I gathered my courage & man oh man never ever i felt a negativity through out the journey. Never had any close call .. Never brakes hard (excluding Siliguri).... Never skid.... Never felt sleepy. ... The north east was just wow..... Never knew the air is so fresh.... The vastness..... Everything was so calming ... The hospitality..... And that movement i was happy that i was alone.... Any place you look at north east is just like a picnic spot ...... Even bread & tea taste lot better while sitting on the road..... 22-23 days i stayed roaming NE either camping near someone house with their permission or in thier house.... For the first time i felt like being connected to earth. My request to people please visit north east ..... 🎉🎉
Just completed leh - khardungla - nubra - pangong - changla - leh bike tour yesterday, we were two but had a support vehicle and I must say one thing if anyone faces any problem while in watercrossing specially in nubra to pangong route or any bike related issues not even other biker group will help. You are on your own. And regarding weather I experienced xtreme severe headache due to low oxygen while in khardungla top and in the morning at pangong i.e. on 24th July , it is very important to keep hydrated and to carry oxygen can. This tour and leh Ladakh is no joke.
I did solo on Vespa 150 17 years back... Narak tha but pee k himmat aa jati thi. Lower Himachal ka hone se thoda easy tha mere liye. But Aaj kal solo easy hai.. bikers community is like real brothers. They don't leave you helpless.
Bulu bhai main 2012 mein ladakh gya tha. Ham 6 log gaye the innova se. Hamare driver himanchali the and he knew the entire route. Unki wajah se ham sahi salamat pahuche the. Mere saare dost poore raaste bhar ulti maarte gaye the and 1 guy became extremely sick. Kisi ke pass koi dawai nahin this except me. Also, kapde bhi hamne dhang ke nahin rakhe the because we had no idea of terrain and weather. We made it just because we were a bunch of 20 year olds. Good thing we reached leh where he was treated.
Jab main ladakh gaya tha, i found many people stranded as their bike broke down…our group helped them… on very first day, i met a person he said his friend just died due to oxygen issue and now they are going back. The person was just 23. On first day this gave me chills. Pangong was so cold that i had to sleep under my mattress and even it did not work. Even though there are roads there, but weather still is almost same. Not all can acclimatise with it. Never go alone to remote areas. It is ok to go alone to places where you can find people else prefer groups.
Bulu it was nice listening to your useful advice. The solo ride I appreciate was of Mr. Abhishek from Kolkata RU-vidr Final destination in 2023. His planning was very good and budget ride on Yamaha Aerox maxi scooter which I also have myself.
I have experience exactly what you have explained. Dropping my bike at shinkula pass top and could not lift the bike up. Had to wait for 1.5 hours and by then my Oxygen level was below 50%. Somehow came down to gonbo Ranjan. Panting shivering headache etc. I can go on writing but rather just say that I am living my second life. Now at leh will head for khardula, pangong , hanle and umlingla. Oxygen level is back on 90 ties.
Very nice bullu bhai... Keep coming your real life stories we love to know your experiences.... Also share any paranormal experience to make it interesting 🙂🙂😅😅 no matter howlong vedio we take it as podacst... Vote for it guys
Bulu bhai, all you shared are indeed valid points and should be part of any riders checklist riding Ladakh. Have done 4 time Ladakh, Solo but I what has helped me to survive is Humility for everything, plan well and ome of the things very well shared in the video. Good video Bulu bhai.
Bro, make more videos like this, sharing your experience in riding over the years, it is very informative and the way you convey the stories is super 👌
every word you said in this video is 100% true bulubhai.I have more than 3 lakh kms experience of driving a four wheeler .but even today whenever i take my car for outstation tours i start afresh everytime and think myself as a learner because there are still many more things for me to learn about driving a car.Aadmi apne end tak student hi rehta hai har field mein.😊😊
being from B'lore I don't have the luxury of long leaves and taking my bike with me to Ladakh (yet). Fully agree with Bulu Bahi's observation here....I will do Ladakh 1-2 times in my lifetime as part of my pilgrimage/checklist but won't ever risk doing it solo. Ego satisfy karne ke liye there are many places you can travel 1000+ kms solo on known highways and routes.
On 21st July 2024 I took my first ever ride(solo) on my Honda Hyness350 from Mohali to Simla And went further to Kinnaur with 2 boys riding on a Meteor 350. We reached Kinnaur the same day. We enjoyed a Lot together. I agree to most of your points. Thanks a Lot for Teaching and awakening...
You are very precisely correct. What ever happened with you & you shared in this vlog was very true as per today's generation is too much over confident, which is too risky for all (1. The Solo rider, 2. His over confidence, 3. Back there his parents and family) all will suffer just because of show off wala matter. You have done a great job. 👍 Making this particular vlog. Please carry on these type of educating vlogs randomly 🙏🏼
Bulu Brother I've been longing to go to Leh Ladak for 7 Years. But looking at the Roads Terrain and Water Crossing it scares me. Thank You for Helping so many Riders the Dos and Don'ts on Leh Trip. You explained the Details so Well. Thank You so much Brother.
What people don't understand is that accident happen once, and it can be life threatening. We take precautions because we want to avoid such accidents.
I have never had solo experience, but I can anticipate the potential challenges. _The road life is uncertain, even for professional riders._ Anyways, Bulu Bhai, thanks for sharing such helpful information. It will definitely help the comming generations. Keep sharing..😊.. you're odisha rider guider.. Watching from Odisha
Nice and informative video..Recently I completed ladakh ride solo from Thane Maharashtra I have taken all precaution while driving and starting ride in early morning and end before sunset..it really Help..❤🙂
Bhai, I started following you after I came across your reel, in which you sang beautifully. But now I know what a awesome person you are. I'm a fan bro. I don't even know how to ride a bike. But I totally relate to everything you said in this video. Wish everyone had a elder brother and friend like you. Thoroughly enjoying all your videos now. And that video on honda vs RE - what I love about is your mental clarity and art of positivity. It's commendable bro. If you are in bangalore anytime, please always welcome to my home 🙏🙏
following you from last 6 7 years may be..Honestly speaking you and DG bhai are true biker..jise sach main biking par experience aur respect hain...ajkal log to sirf views ke liye youtube par dikhane ke liye ride karte hain..
❤❤❤ THANKS for your wonderful explanation and experience, people like me or other may get to learn what to do and what not to do....❤❤❤ THANKS bhaijan....
Last year I went to Ladhak with my friend for the first time and we happened to face a similar issue. We left for umlinga from hanle, came back at 12 afternoon, had lunch, visited the observatory and left hanle at 3pm, thinking that we can easily reach Tsomoriri before sunset. All hells went loose, when we had to fight a sand storm and the terrain slower us down. We had an option to stay at nyoma, but we ignored thinking that we can still make it to Tsomoriri before 5.30. It was so cold, we couldnt push the levers and our knuckles started cracking and we ended up going to a dingy home stay, but still it saved us.
One should plan to ride 100kms max in the mountains....100kms in plains will take 2.5hrs but in the mountains it will be 6hrs with bad road conditions.
In my 10 days trip in 2015 to ladakh, the roads and weather were fairly dangerous in August as we rode bikes on them in 4 couple group. You are absolutely right about many facts. We had our meds, drinks, snacks, gears everything in our rucksack everytime we set out. Also we had taken 8 bottles of Rum from Delhi to beat the extreme cold. Lifelong memories.
Yhhi wo reason h jo mai aapko 2017 se follow kr rhha hu.....or aj bhi regret nhi hota balki proud h ki such me kissi real person ko follow kr rhha hu... thanku bullu sir thanku for everything ❤
Great video! 🙌 I'm really glad you emphasized the importance of not riding solo in Ladakh. The terrain and weather can be unpredictable, and having a riding buddy can make a huge difference in terms of safety and support. Thanks for sharing this valuable advice and keeping the community informed. Ride safe! 🏍️💨
Thanks for the video bulu Bhai. Main bike trips karta hoon stress se nikalne ke liye, Mera favourite part hay highways pe horizons ko chase karna. Ladakh trips dekhna toh accha lagta hay magar office se itna lamba chutti milegi nhi, group toh shayad na mile. Aapka experience ek great cautionary tale tha.
I could see the spark in your eyes when you were talking about your past journey! 🤟🏻🤞🏻✌️🙏🏻 Bulu bhai . If possible do a random draw of about 5-7 people and let’s go Ladakh or nepal all together 🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️ It would be wonderful
Thanks bulu bhai for such deep insight. i was planning for my first laddhak trip in mid September, however need to plan again and find partners. Thanks
I think if you are doing it solomfor first time, try the route from JK instead of manali. Try avoiding circut. Adapt to things and maybe then you can try complete circut.
Akele chalna hi sabse accha hai lekin you should be passionate about bikes and travel. Bas mehengi bike le k laddakh chal jaana is not biking. Aajkal log bas km cover krne jaate hai. Kisi kisi ko dekhta hoon bina puncture kit liye v chal jaata hai aur bolta hai bike breakdown ho gaya atleast you should have some basic unseratanding of your bike. Ye sab to ride ka part hota hai and you should know this and be ready. If you are a beginner and you really want to travel solo for years then learn to travel solo. Jaha tak akele ka baat hai no one is going with you, ek baar ko chala v gya to dobara ni jaayeega qki not everyone is like you. Either they are not passionate about bikes and travel or they have money problem or could be anythonh else. No one can follow you everywhere. Everyone has their own life and are busy in their life struggles. This cant stop you frpm exploring. Be strong, be practical and maturely handle the situation because it will happpen and you have no choice but to tackle it. This is from my own experience of riding solo. Travelling solo is a good way to knpw ypurshelf. Thanks
no mountains should be ignored just by sheer overconfidence , not only ladakh but the mountains in HP,UK,JK and northeast not only the high altitude sickness, there can be land slide, misdirection or accident at a place where there are no people.Tip:Always try to keepa company of car of bikes with you whenever you drive.Jai hind
Bhai i was resting while listening to this, mera neend udd gaya. 😢 Even i was talking to some friends about my solo trip plans. The way you narrated whole experience in minute details, is chilling. You should start regular podcasts regarding your travel experiences, for rider guidance. Also i watched your nexon trip where you were lost at night. It was pure horror. You filmed a whole horror night.
Solo trip is not show off For some people because They don't have friend's Like me I'm also planning for Ladakh from South India But really I love to hear your story acha Laga Bhai Don't mind I don't like to call sir from anyone God bless you Bhai I'm your new subscriber
Bhai mene pahli baar koi video Bina skip Kiya dekha hai and first visiting on your video very nice bhai thank for your experience sharing and will never go alon on the hills❤
That's absolutely true brother.. even I'm dreaming of the trip to Ladakh since childhood but there's so many responsibilities as well as there's still nobody who can join me and most of all.. WIFEY.. jaane hi nahi deti yaar..😂😅
Shuru mein Sarchu tak to Pahad, Watercrossing, offroading bohot acchi lagti hai ...Pang tak aate aate aise dukhi ho jaate hai ki bus, kab khatam hoga ye .. but then Moray plains are refreshing !!
Hey Bulu, I absolutely endorse your point. Going with 2 - 3 other riders helps against monotony from setting in. Also, you have ready help at hand, if in case you need it & lastly a whole lot more fun. I did Spiti with 4 other lady riders, and we had fun. It was our 1st time, and will probably go with the same set of ladies to Ladakh as well. But if the group is too big it's also a problem. And quite honestly, we in no way wanted to show off, but we were completely focussed on our ride. It was one my most memorable bike rides to date. Safety at any cost!! Ride safe & tc!!
I did solo ride from Kohima to Keylong, solo has it own chasm but as Bulu Bhai said, there is always a kind of back in your mind if anything happen like accident or breakdown. I would also suggest at least 2 is best when you plan for long trip. solo has it own magnetism but in pair is better.
i recently done the Ladakh trip, i can agree with all the points though i was with a group of people still things can be wrong i felt. Indeed a good video.
