I'm sorry guys, it was a rough month. www.google.com/search?rlz=1C5CHFA_enGB854GB854&sxsrf=ALeKk001wESkdhDkn5kFQKNlNg5nolO-Jg%3A1615835554356&ei=orFPYPCuFYCAhbIPy5C04AY&q=mjolnir+pronunciation&oq=mjolnir+&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYBDIECAAQQzIECAAQQzIECAAQQzIECAAQQzIECAAQQzIECAAQQzIECAAQQzICCAAyCggAEIcCELEDEBQyBAgAEEM6BAgAEEdQrwNYrwNgnBBoAHADeACAAf4BiAHyApIBBTAuMS4xmAEAoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdpesgBCMABAQ&sclient=gws-wiz
I would actually like that, because the MCU is opening itself to the multiverse, so it could be a nice little cameo, but only if Chris Evans wanted to.
When the cast kept joking about someone wearing padded suits because they didn’t bulk up enough Im fairly sure it was Chris Evans. On numerous occasions he stated that he reeeeeeeaaay didn’t like having to bulk up and who can blame him? Yoyoing your weight and muscle mass like that is very unhealthy and I’d imagine increasingly unpleasant as one gets older. There were rumors years ago before Infinity War that he wanted out and wouldn’t be renewing his contract and Im glad he did. Limiting artists-in this case the Russos-with a hard limit (Chris leaving the franchise) frequently yields up much better stories than if they continued to string the audience and actor along. Cap got a beautiful sendoff and I doubt they will bring Chris back beyond perhaps a small cameo on the phone or something since his old age makeup was enhanced with CG. Disney still gave everyone TV budgets so Falcon and The Winter Soldier will probably be very tightly scripted and the stunts will be fantastic but no helicarriers. Sorry for the rant. The only thing I didn’t like about his sendoff was that Hayley Atwell didn’t get any lines since this was her sendoff as well.
I'm happy Cap got his ending with Peggy. It's poetic. The man who was seventy years late to his date finally had the chance to have a normal life with his love Peggy. And when I saw them dance at the end of the movie I cried.
I really think Cap would have a hard time watching all the events unfold (hydra and all the death since he went in ice) without doing anything. It's not in his character to stand aside for 60+ years without lifting a finger to help.
@@Jose-se9pu I prefer they show him passing away with Sam and Bucky on his side at the beginning of the Falcon & Winter Soldier show. But a funeral wouldn't be that bad either.
Respectfully disagree about El Camino, just compare how Jesse looks at the end of Breaking Bad to the one at the end of El Camino. He looks healed, it wasn't just about him crossing the border, it was about healing and dealing with PTSD. The Take did a really good video on it.
I definitely understand Matt's point, but I personally enjoyed El Camino as well. I didn't feel that it added anything super substantial, but I prefer that to something that would have added a lot thereby making Breaking Bad seem incomplete. El Camino just feels like an epilogue rather than a whole new required story.
While in theory I agree with this I don't like el camino. Mostly because Jesse kills 2 men in el camino. Sure its in (sort of) self defence. But remembering how f'ed up Jesse was when he killed Gale it seems weird that Jesse now gets into a shootout en kills 2 men only to have no (extra) emotional fallout from this.
@Mickey Mouse That is right. i had forgotten about the cartel. I hadnt seen Breaking bad in a while when i saw El Camino. I still think the shooting in the movie is a bit over the top for Jesse but perhaps i do have the wrong Jesse in my head.
Did anyone else think Jesse laughing hysterically at the end of BB was NOT because he was happy? It felt like he was completely Breaking Down. Full Fat did not get it.
I don’t think El Camino earns that healing though. He has very severe PTSD at the beginning of the film, to the point where he nearly shoots his two closest friends because he’s having a panic attack/flashback, but then he takes a shower and his trauma seems to have completely gone away. He had no moments of trauma like that ever again in the movie. There’s nothing that happens to Jesse that relates to overcoming his grief or trauma either. He goes to Todd, his captors house, but that’s just to find his money. He has a nice little reconciliation with his parents, but that alone wouldn’t heal all of his wounds since his trauma spans way beyond their scope. Neil Kandy is also tied to Jesse’s captivity, being responsible for the construction of the rig that held him prisoner, but that also doesn’t lead to much growth or healing. That entire detail feels like an afterthought even and could have been removed without any real change to the plot. Jesse essentially just strong arms his way into a deal about sharing Todd’s money. Then he realizes that his cut isn’t enough so he goes back and bargains for more. Ultimately, he is forced to result in shooting/killing Neil for the money. I guess you could say he stood up fought for himself, but he already did that in the series finale of BrBa when he refuses to kill Walt, signifying that he no longer has to do Walt’s dirty work. None of the flashbacks can contribute to Jesse’s healing either since those all take place before or during his traumatic experiences. All the flashbacks really amount to are vague prophecies for Jesse’s future life in Alaska or to reiterate details we already knew from the show. I’m really glad you and many others seem to really enjoy El Camino, but I have to agree with Full Flat Videos and say that I found it mostly uninteresting and redundant. I’m a MASSIVE fan of both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (as I’m sure you can tell from my profile), so I wanted nothing more than to love this, but I’ve watched it 4 or 5 times with a different, open mindsets each time and I’ve been disappointed every time.
I mean, if you drop the negative connotation, it was selfish. Selfish just implies a choice based on the cost of someone else, prioritizing yourself over others. What cap did was that he took off his armor, that is him prioritizing himself over others. If you do not join the conscription, knowing someone else will do it, that is still a selfish choice. Again, if this for some reason needs to be repeated, that does not make this a bad decision, just selfish.
I wholeheartedly agree. You can't have everything forever. Cap's story ended on a high note, let's keep it that way. Good video! PS: The way you say premiere gives me life :)
agreed we rarely got a superheroes theme and end it with high note like this, i dont want they breaking it... give others the spot light too instead bring back capt, why not use those energy resource finding idea to make capt marvel a better char before incoming Avengers movie, make that char likeable, now the fandom kinda seprated on capt marvel... i hate it...
Everyone: “Cap’s story arc landed the finale perfectly, it was a good send off to the character.” My sister: crying her eyes out upset her favorite crush is gone like an absolute Yanderé almost.
I absolutely agree with you about Cap's ending, and I'm confused as to why some people are offended by it. It's pretty similar to the end of Woody's arc in Toy Story 4: A character that spends their whole life taking care of others finally finds happiness and closure in being taken care of by someone else. After all Cap did, he deserved to be happy, and Bucky, his best friend, would obviously want that for him even if it meant giving him up. And to those same offended people: Cap staying with Peggy didn't 'erase' her future husband/kids. It started another parallel timeline, which happens all the time in the multiverse. Just let the man have his happy ending lol
My biggest beef with Endgame was they ruined Caps " I can do this all day" line. I was convinced to the last second, we would get a scene with him on the dancefloor with peggy and he just whispers it to her.
Great video, I definitely think we should wait for his return and see how it's conducted before we criticize Marvel Studios and judge them for not taking risks when it could literally a 5 minute return.
Cap is easily both the heart & soul of the avengers, and the glue. He understands what they do more than anyone. He understands you cant save everyone, but that wont stop him from trying. He understands why some people do what they do, but thats not an excuse. He always knows the best course of action to take. Hes got EVERYBODIES hearts & minds on his mind when hes out there avenging.
The only way I'd like seeing him return is as a small cameo in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Maybe even show him dying happily of old age like Peggy in the Winter Soldier just so nobody is wondering "Where the hell is cap during all this stuff that's happening?"
“His best was enough. And he’s already given it. The new (can’t tell if you said gods or guards there) are more than equipped to take care of it.” I thought almost those exact same words about Iron Man’s death when I just recently re-watched the entire MCU; because I’m an up and coming actor and I want to get into the genre. Although in my opinion I’d say Iron Man’s comeuppance at the end of Endgame was much less what should have happened to him.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Steve Rogers’ Cap back in the MCU but ONLY if he’s just doing more of those PSAs like in Spider-Man Homecoming. Just a quick cameo of “prerecorded” footage of Steve Rogers giving off PSAs in a very cringey video (complete with him sitting in the chair backwards). That’s the only acceptable way to bring Steve Rogers back to the MCU.
The portals scene from End Game consistently gave me chills. We all knew the snapped heroes were going to come back, but they entered the fight in the best way they possibly could. And they headed it off the best way they possibly could, too: with wounded Captain America marching off to a self-sacrificial death against the universe's greatest army, followed by his loyal comrade Sam Wilson radioing in and saying "On your left." As a moment that effectively kicked-off the most hype moment I've ever witnessed in the movie, but also the final nail needed to convince me that Sam Wilson is the right choice to take up the mantal.
I loved Steve’s entire arc and that finale but it would be cool to see him one more time as Old Man Cap, or perhaps a peak into his adventures returning the infinity stones.
They could do the hydra thing. Have it be a clone instead of what it was. Have them have a big sit down and talk moment. Redeem the hydra cap, have that one continue the role in the dark.
cap's my fav marvel character its gonna be sad to see falcon using his shield and taking the mantel of Captain America but im excited to see it cause if anyone deserves to inherit that title its Sam, doesn't mean its going to be any easier to watch though, Chris Evens was just so good to watch as Cap
If they’re going to bring Evans back as Cap, then the best way to go about it is a series where we see Cap’s missions when he stayed in the past, is he a part of shield? Did he fight crime? Was he in the Vietnam War?
I loved the video and completely agree with the cap comments. But I think you could dive more into el camino (and would love you to do more breaking bad videos) because yes at the end of breaking bad he is physically free, but he is not free of all his demons and never got to become content with any of it. I think when we see Jesse's chaotic screaming contrasted by the final shot of his calm contentment proved me to why we needed el camino. So Jesse could get the ending he fought so hard for just as Steve did.
Cap returned with peggy to the year 1949 at the end of avengers endgame. Peggy got married in 1953, so the statement that Cap returned and didn’t care that she already had a husband and children is not valid. I find it very stupid when I see people on tiktok making this an excuse why the end of Steve was not good. Steve's ending was worthy of his character, he deserved to have a happy ending with the woman he loved.
My favorite theory about how they could bring back Chris Evans for a cameo or into a marvel movie is to have the fantastic four show up in one of the movies that deals with the multiverse like the next Dr. Strange. He would of course be playing the human torch.
I want a show where it focuses on captain America back in the 40's or during the cold war. It would be nice to see cap happy that hes back with Peggy and I feel it would make the ending that much better.
To be fair there has been many times where he returned in the comics, keep in the one of the biggest parts of his character even tho he isn't a genius like tony, or a god like thor, he just wants to save ppl, so as long as its a big event and they do it right, I won't be complaining
As a person who slightly prefers story/world builds explanation and expanding I would love to see a 6 episode series of cap dropping off each stone, and it works cause if you don’t like it you can forget it and still have your perfect ending, if you like it you still get your perfect ending but you also get a bit more of him and a neat story showing something cool. So I’m happy either way, leave his ending but deal free to expand on that little adventure
Yeah you say that, but in ten years when we're dealing with a multiversal threat and everything is super bleak, a red, white, and blue disc will come screaming out of nowhere and ricochet off the villain's face only to land perfectly back into a gloved hand, followed by a pan over to who's holding it with Cap's theme, you'll be right back where you were when he picked up Mjolnir. He'll rally everyone together one last time, and when the battle is over he'll say, "Now I'd love to stay, but I've got to get back home and make dinner, the kids demand their dinosaur chicken nuggets."
I would enjoy an MCU version of Charlie's Angels, with Cap, Bucky, and Falcon. Bucky and Sam Wilson are the "angels," and Captain America is Charlie, the voice from the radio box telling the angels the next mission.
As a scandinavian hearing how M-Jol-NIR is pronounced by english speakers is always facinating to me. Benny from Comicstorian: Mollnir Full Fat Videos: Millnor Always facinating.
The difference between Jesse and Steve is that Steve was a complete character after endgame. Jesse to me, wasn't complete after breaking bad. He was always whiny and we never really see him as a mature, free man. He's not just screaming because he's free from the prison, he's screaming cuz he doesn't know what to do. Jesse was always dragged by different people (mainly Walt) and yes, it meant that he was manipulated but it also meant he had somewere to go and someone to be with. Seeing skinny Pete and Badger caring for Jesse and seeing Jesse as he follows Mike's advice, I was satisfied. At the end of breaking bad Jesse was still in a bad dream, after el camino he had woken up.
If I ever get Genie wishes, Cap is my first pick for getting super powers. Then add other powers on top of that, so if someone shows up with kryptonite the lowest I can go back down to is Captain America level. That's plenty for 99.99% of hero work.
Tony said it to Cap back in Age of Ultron: the simple life. You'll get there one day. Cap didn't believe back it then but he's grown so much in the years that followed. He proved Ultron wrong. He's more than just a soldier deluding himself into thinking he can live without a war.
Having old Steve in Falcon and the Winter Soldier could work. He could be a friend and confidant to both. But he's a 100 years old. They can come over for tea and maybe a bit of lawn bowling.
Steve Rogers has one of the best story arcs I’ve seen. Not everyone gets it because it’s not the cliche they expect and apparently want. You have to start by understanding the end of Captain America 1. - Steve Chose the life of the warrior over the lover. - He stood Peggy up for the dance - effectively he chose death over Peggy. 😂 - He was revived 70 years later - only to be disillusioned about every reason why he chose the way of the warrior. - Arnum Zola in Winter Soldier called him out: *Your life has the same meaning as your death* - A ZERO sum game. - Ultron called him out too.... *You secretly live for war, while claiming to fight for a righteous cause.* - Steve’s choice to put the shield down, and keep his promise to Peggy, proved Ultron and Zola wrong about him. - Peggy - was the only woman Steve ever loved and *the only woman who loved him.* - When he goes back to 1970 and sees Peggy - she has a picture of *Steve Rogers* - before the serum....not Captain America at her desk. - The warrior who learns to become the lover is his character arc. - It works so well for him precisely because it’s subversive to fan boys who can never accept change or growth in any character.
I have a sense for when an ad is coming, the moment you mentioned his hair I skipped forward because I knew the ad that was coming. other than that, this a great video, keep up the good work!
If they are to bring Cap back, its passing the torch to the young Avengers, Spidey specifically, for them to find a new path for the team. Kinda sad that we didn't get to see them interact outside of the battle in Civil War
Would of been good to see a one of tv series of Cap and peggy over the decades when he went back. Maybe not yet but in the years to come. During the phase.
See if love to see Cap come back but as old man Cap. I'd love to see Falcon struggle with a mission and the mantel of being the new Cap and going back to the original Cap for advice; having him as a moral guide/mentor but not a fighter.
I wouldnt mind a short/one shot about Steve coming back to peggy. Just because the actual reunion would be interesting to see and if they already made one shots about things like what happened to colon on the way to Thurs hammer you might as well do this one. But I agree it isn't necessary. And I reeeeally don't want a video about all of the time travel weirdness cap gets into.
Even though Marvel and the Russos did a hell lot right with this character, I believe they did one thing wrong. Bucky shouldn't have been snapped at the end of Infinity War. After 3 Movies exploring Cap's and Bucky's relationship and all the hardships Cap endured to save his friend, I believe they should have deserved some time of peace together, just being able to be themselves, just being friends. I think it is a shame, that we didn't get to see this type of interaction betweem those two.
For the reasons you gave here about Cap coming back I feel the same about Kenobi coming back. We had his ending it was perfect. The storytelling possibilities are slim. He’s supposed to be in exile watching over Luke from afar. The fact there’s going to be ‘a round 2’ with Vader kind of cheapens his ending for me.
I feel the TFAWS show starts with Steve's funeral. Or even worse, the first episode will end to Bucky and Sam chilling, before getting a text saying "He's gone." And then cutting ti credits.
By are people mad about Patterson what I’m so hyped for it, similar with batfleck I knew he was gonna be great and low and behold everyone’s favourite scenes involved him
I like Cap's ending. What I don't like is that some people are claiming old Cap was there the whole time, and that's why we never saw pictures of Peggy's husband. Excuse me? I thought we established the rules of time-travel in this universe when Banner literally said: "If you travel to the past, that past becomes your future, and your former present becomes the past, which can’t now be changed by your new future." Strictly establishing that the laws of cause and effect don't stop by going back in time, but to preserve them you're changing an *alternate* timeline. In other words, they apply one form of time travel to the MCU, that of creating alternate timelines, but then suddenly change it to looping time travel. This makes no sense, it's either one or the other. It can't be both. All they needed to do to solve this was just have him reappear on the platform as an old man. Done, he came back from the other timeline once Peggy died, simple as that. But by having him sitting on the bench they open the possibility to breaking self-consistency, which is the one of the few things I can't stand.
I prefer as well if he does not come back, but if he does, I hope it's something special like a story in his alternate life (between WW2 and the 60s) where he goes on a mission with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. That I would take.
okay hear me out - multiverse happens. We see the secret empire storyline. Captain America hydra agent. Maybe as a villain for a future season of falcon and winter soldier :)
So by "ruin it" do you mean point out that he now has to admit to Peggy that he hooked up with her niece a day or two after her funeral, or hide it from her the rest of his life? Or that Sharron grew up and hooked up with her uncle or at least someone who looked exactly like him? Or maybe that her uncle convinced her that hooking up with past him was for the good of the timeline?
I think that if they do bring cap back, he can't be a main character. Instead he should fulfill a more mentor role, however if they decide to make him the main character it could allow us to see more of the MCUs history, like the creation of SHIELD
I dont understand why people are still talking about Cap meeting with Red Skool in his time travels. They never said he has to return the stones to their original place, only to their original time. Im starting to think it is because people missunderstood that they are returning the stones to prevent altering that timelines, that is not the case. They altered the mayority of these timelines a lot and that is not going to change, they had to return the stones because extracting the stones from a reality causes that reality to split what we percieve as "the flow of time".
I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually did a multiverse phase/ film, they’d likely use hydra America, as in hail hydra America. It wouldn’t be too bad either I bet,
I wouldn't want to see Chris Evans return as Cap post Endgame, but I wouldn't say no to seeing him come back in visions to help forward the stories of the likes of Winter Soldier or Wolverine
I think it'll be fine if we saw what he does in the parallel timeline. He'll probably be working for S.H.I.E.L.D alongside Peggy with foreknowledge of the future and about Hydra's involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D. I can actually see him become the Nick Fury of his Timeline before retiring after Peggy dies and returning to the prime timeline. Other than that i just wanna see old man cap be a retired old sagelike character who gives pearls of wisdom to whoever currently needs it.
Personally I think Falcon and The Winter Soldier should open with Steve Rogers’ funeral. It feels like something that, while not necessary, would provide a bit of assurance that the character is in fact done in the mcu.
He was always willing to lay down his life. His arc is about learning to care for himself when he's fulfilled his obligations, whereas Tony's is about learning selflessness. They were two men starting in opposite places who become better people by becoming more of the other.
I am going to say one thing though. He would've got rid of hydra because he already knew it...so how does this tie in with the mainline? Shouldn't that cap be in a different timeline if time travel dosen't affect your own time line? What the hell happened? How did that Peggy just accept Steve Rogers coming back after he crashed into the ocean? There is no explanation to this, so it's so confusing. I feel like they just rushed his ending.
Sam is only going to be Cap for 2 movies *maybe* 3. They are going to introduce Patriot and he will become Cap after Sam. Young Avengers is just around the corner. The young actors are getting older.
