Great video! Would deleting the Wah instead of volume yield a bit more DSP? I'm a fan of the volume pedal trick, but do prefer the logarithmic curve...

Thanks! That’s a good question, I haven’t done any tests to determine if there is a difference, but I think it would be negligible. From my memory of Ben Vesco DSP tables, both the volume and wah are comparable.

Hello! Another great video. Been watching your POD GO videos, as I'm planning to get one. Just wanna ask how the POD GO's sound compares to the Helix Floor and LT. Does it really sound identical?

Hi, thank you! Indeed they do sound 99.99% similar, especially if you get the cabled version and not the wireless version (the transmitter with full fidelity has a harsher top end which I can eliminate with the cable emulation setting on POD Go Wireless). This doesn't seem to be using the new cab/mic settings available on the 2.0 update. From my experience, the new cab models sound better and also use less DSP. For instance on some preset I see a lot of overdrives greyed out, but then I switch from the legacy cab to a new cab and a lot less of them are greyed out or none at all.

Yup this video was shot and on my content schedule before the update, but I went with my gut and released anyway cause who knows, there may be those few folks who won’t/can’t upgrade for a while. Technically the legacy cab and the new cab sound identical when at position zero (over the cone), on-axis. I’ve corroborated this with my tests, but maybe my ears aren’t as good!
