Love the video and great explanations in all key areas! Gonna be a massive help for me cuz just like many others Ive jumped from one scratch to another and never truly focused on any lol looking forward to seeing your future videos! Much respect
Im back after few years to scratching and I needed tutorial like this to conect the flow and improve baby. Very well explained, tnx man. Greetings fom Croatia, salute🫡
You explain turntablism very well my man... I remember practicing my backward tears. I used to run home from school. I had a realistic turntable. I used to spend up to 2 hours a day.. I used to listen to DJ . Chuck Chillout. DJ Red Alert. And imitate what I heard... as you can guess made many mistakes
Great video Si. In January I did some deliberate baby scratch practice, 15 mins every day. When I started I thought it would be boring but it turned out to be great fun and I started to think about the baby scratch in a different way. I guess I now respect it a bit more as a technique. I'm really glad I spent the time on it.
Ya keep at it! Just find a tech inquest and drill it and drill it until it becomes second nature.then you cam apply the same concepts I talk about here
Awesome video! I really like how you do a demo on the deck after illustrating a point on the mic. Plus the variety of babies you performed (different timing) helps a lot for creativity. Thanks again Si! Keep em coming..
Awesome video! I just started scratching and I have been thinking that rather than rush on to 'cooler' scratch techniques I should slow down and work on baby scratches. Your video is a huge encouragement! Thanks!
Loving your videos, may I suggest Q&A scratch videos, am sure many djs here would love to learn from you. Sure there are many out there, but I'm theres a different approach you can introduce. Surely that may help you reach that 10k milestone
Lol as a teenager I also used to scratch with my hoodie zip man, I think that's how I really started to want to become a DJ haha. BTW nice record on the back, is that the soundtrack of Planete Sauvage movie? really loved that classic french animation movie, very psychodelic!
Hey there, what's the setting on your tonearm, anti skating, and stylus/needle? It looks so stable even with the heavy scratching. My needle keeps skipping constantly. Appreciate the videos
I wouldn't say that no counting triplets over a 4/4 beat is a nice way to add some interest. I guess some cuts are naturally 3/4 if you repeat them over and over eg boomerangs
