@@michaelgiberson7101 It can, but it starts to struggle with better turkeys or rooster's on crack. The rhino's first strike is generally better but hippo is still a great alternative since you get it earlier and it's better than nothing

Hippo, snake is also a great defense against tiger turkey fly

Got me to 10 wins! I was STRUGGLING, so my last 3 games was my buff lvl2 ANT 45/50, scorpion, lvl3 rooster with 20 attack, and a tiger. They took me to the end!

There was one time the game just fed me 4 dragons and I was like, welp. Guess I win. +3 +3 on every unit every buy of a tier 1 animal...

​@@EpicUltraKingSmizzy It looked impressive but the result wasn't. He started battle at turn 13 with two 30-40 meat-shields and no in-battle abilities. Double dragon takes 3 slots, which you're not going to keep. So you're buffing two units +2/+2. That's a pizza or a can.

Yea, that late in the game you really want dragons, cats, or trex and that sort of thing for massive scaling. Although really, unless your build can make that work you have to pick up your wins before it's too late.

Yeah, I've yet to have a perfect 10run. I always have at least one loss and a few draws. Mid-game is where I struggle the most.

@@starsheen1 in the mid game it's a good general rule thumb to stack one unit. It's not always the best play but it's usually ok. It doesn't really matter what the unit is either generally I roll with whatever unit ends up biggest in the early game (or is close and has a better ability). Often I get stuck in a rut mid game when I get too attached to my units or when I keep switching them every turn. Another good rule of thumb is to find a scaling unit (like a monkey or rabbit don't use a shrimp) and then just stack food and equipment. Never underestimate the power of meat on the bone and garlic armor to carry you.

The bad builds die, and the good midgame builds already won 10. All that's left at turn 15+ are the super juiced squads that drew a lot in the early game

That could be fun if you're ahead but you need to have the willpower to sell the dromidary when it's no longer useful.

Yea, I feel like if you want high tier units to pop you really need to keep your food shop open and hope for chocolate. Although it's still a crapshoot whether you'll find 0 or 3

It's true. If you're adding the same amount of points to your team, you end up with the equivalent of either five 16/16s or four 20/20s, and the larger units last longer 25% longer, getting more hits in and the hits are 25% harder. Clearly there's some point of diminishing returns since you can't even have one 80/80 and two 40/40s wouldn't necessarily perform as well as four 20/20s, but the gist of what you're saying is solid.

I was steamrolling teams after some good luck even though I only had 1hp. Then I ran into a lv3 rooster with melon armor. I thought I could win the fight until I realized I had 4 50 attack units to kill... rooster is scary when it scales. Although I think tiger skunk is probably more broken although I've never seen it so maybe it's not that good.

@@solsystem1342 Search a channel named "Frost Prime" he made a sniper build. The team comp is basically Blowfish, Tiger, Skunk, Whale and Hedgehog. Of course, it's hard to build since it needs a level 3 skunk and a tiger for it to work but if you do, you'll demolish every comp. Scaling comp? Goodbye 50 health unit. Summon comp? Say hello to my hedgehog, whale combo. Melon armor? Nope. The only comp that beats it is if the enemy has 3 or more 50/50 units or you are so late into the game.

Was that pre-nerf? Currently, 'hurt' abilities like the gorilla's don't trigger if melon armor reduces the damage to 0

The major thing I can see it vibing with (haven’t tried it yet) is a pogged up Hedgehog or maybe Elephant

@@rosemarygrant6424 but melon armor still reduces 20 damage max, so if you survive a hit thats more then 20 damage but still dont die it triggers coconut armour, giving you a free hit.

@@rosemarygrant6424 the thing is though against big units melon armor doesn't usually block all the damage so if you have a stacked gorilla it should probably get a coconut armor off (unless they're rolling something up front to pop melon armor).

I still want to try pilling a badger in the shop to hit a gorrila and see if it gets preloaded coconut armor every battle.

What does whale scorpion actually do though? It just takes up an extra slot with the whale. I mean I guess if you have a stacked whale and nothing to feed it. Cool interaction none the less. Wish that would have worked. Lmk if you can hit a gorrila with a badger in shop in order to preload coconut armor if you ever see it come up. Since you also seem like a mad scientist.

@@Johnalk whales are kind of bad usually. With a lv 1 turtle they can do work. They just don't have anything outside of maybe sheep that scale well with them? At least as far as I've seen.

@@solsystem1342 they're okay with deer and buffing animals like flamingos and mammoths (even better when you add mushroom)

That's good mid game but the hippo clutches out some survivals in the late game. Level 2 hippo helped me survive some fat hits and break some armors.

@@SpongeKiller42 yeah, hippo seems to also work really well mid game because of the dog, whale, and sheep builds. Having 2/2 animals that it can rip through is so fun to watch play out.

I took a beaver to 50/50 and 10 wins. It may have helped that the game gave me 4 dragons though... but bunny beaver got me far enough for that to pop off.

@@solsystem1342 4 dragons??? Holy moly! I was doing pretty bad in one game, just couldn't scale right, had a dog at about 25/25 with garlic armor, and 4 deer showed up in my shop. So I ran 4 deer and a dog 🤣🤣 it was so funny!

@@starsheen1 well not literally four dragons. I had a high stat beaver that was carrying me so then I just had a lv2 and lv1 dragon in the middle and kept cycling the backline. I think my fourth unit was a monkey that started buffing itself since the beaver hit 50/50

@@starsheen1 busses for days. You get a bus, you get a bus, you all get busses. Also, I think duck is definitely playable now. I rolled 5 ducks into the second round and then just cleaned house in vs mode because I had units with +5, +5 on the third turn. Lol

He seems to have realised they are good now and rooster was highly rated by him in the last tier list. I think Skunk is the main one currently

It'll now tell you when hp loss goes up as well as animals are unlocked. It starts at one and then goes up by 1 every two rounds all the way to 3 per loss I think?

I just haven't figured out how to make the chicken and goat work, but I'm gonna try

@@starsheen1 i didnt make it all the way, only got to 8 wins. and i got decently lucky with a chicken on turn 7 and a buffalo on turn 8. bought all the cans i could find too

Seal and rabbit mid-game have saved my ass so many times!

But it has good stats too. Can't only look at the effect.lvl 3 Swan with Garlic Armor will destroy many pets AND partially pay for itself.

@@pipaloire I believe a lvl 2 will gain a +3/+3 per animal which at that point isn’t worth too much imo, anything that scales would be better

I think it makes sense from a game design standpoint. From how I understand it you essentially lose more lives the later into the game you are but early losses are not as impactful. The problem with the 4 life system was that every life lost is equivalent in value but how much control you have over your build isn't the same at all stages of the game. Naturally, the first 1-3 turns are often super volatile because there's less options so if you get unlucky and draw too many ducks its possible to lose almost all your lives and thus have a way lower chance of getting a 10-win compared to players who get lucky early and stomp their first 3-4 turns. People who win early have the advantage of pivoting way easier or if they have a scaling build, able to scale faster than players who are forced to pivot since they lost early. With the 10-life system, RNG is mitigated by making early losses less meaningful so players who win early don't have a massive advantage for a 10-win and players who get unlucky won't get completely screwed over.
