little tip, every ancient herrald has a "prefference" of mobs he spawns. when his health gets low, he just starts spamming his prefference to hell and back. if its frogs or nightmares, you're done for
The changes when the aporkalypse happens is: -The hamlet shops in will close until the aporkalypse ends -V. Bat waves are more frequent, and there's more per wave -Mants become Warrior mants, which emit a glow -The pigs will throw a fiesta when the Aporkalypse ends -Thunderbirds will fire off 10 lightning bolts instead of 3 -The night lasts forever until the Aporkalypse ends, and the creatures will sleep accordingly -friendly creatures will turn hostile -before the aporkalypse, the hamlet pigs will warn you about it
I remember thinking that Hamlet was super easy. But then I looked into the Aporkalypse... Then I realized... All the difficulty was put into the Aporkalypse.
That cape would be over powered if you link it with a rain of giants and get the bee queen hat the cape would give you sanity when it hits you and it would have no negatives to it
What does this cloak do with nightmare creatures though? Does it provide the effect of the bone helm and makes shadows sot aggro onto you? Or do shadows bypass the cloak? If neither one you are just like 100 percent invunerable, even to shadows, which is already stupidly overpowered
The vortex cloak is an armored backpack, that nullifies all damage from anything but shadows and the Ancient Herald, and you can recharge it with nightmare fuel. It’s pretty cool. Most of that you figured out, figured I’d point out the rest.
Vortex Cloak is super handy for exploring the ancient ruins, in my experience, as it lets you lug around more loot while being safe from OOPS! a scorpion activated a dart trap! (which may or may not have killed me once or twice :V )
The Vortex cloak absorbs 100% of damage from everything but shadows. As you could see, it also acts like a backpack. The downside is it drains your sanity by 30% of the damage blocked. It can be refueled by 5% per nightmare fuel, at the cost of 5 sanity. So this means you can farm the ends well for shadow creatures to get infinate nightmare fuel, therefore infinate durability.
the vortex cloak is immune to all hits, except that of shadow creatures and the herald. also, it doesnt break when its durability reaches zero, it just acts like a cool looking backpack
also for beard and anyone out there, i learned all by myself that in the ruins of the poison jungle you DONT need the mask so you can use your favorite helmet and run to the calendar in safety :D (Do remember to put the mask on tho' when you exit them)
At 4:30ish when you were nervous about if you were ready and not knowing what you should have been doing. I play ROG almost exclusively. I have a few games where I am in hundreds of days but I still struggle with the same thing you are talking about here. Making sure I am being productive especially making the most of the season I am in.
word of advice: use a gun humanity, insanity, merfolk, and all of pig kind have found no reliable strategy to counter, you know, guns just target the herald shoot em 11 times and win specifically with a blunderbuss

The aporkalypse is like an apocalypse, meaning theres constant chaos. It's always a full moon night, certain mods will transform and become hostile, there are bat waves almost every day, pigs wont come out, ruin rooms will almost always have ghosts, and there's a new boss called the ancient herald, which summons other mobs, like frogs or ghosts, to attack. The aporkalypse is determined by the aporkalypse calendar, which is in a certain ruin, with it you can start or stop the aporkalypse. @@Goldfire345 Yeah, and after, he needs to play another caracter to know the real dificult of Hamlet. WX is very easy mode. For learning is all right. But to have a Full Hamlet Experience, i don't recommend him.
