I just started getting back into the Don’t Starve series and I have no idea how players like you can just casually survive this long. I’ve been playing Hamlet and spend an entire day trying to keep my character fed. I’ve never made it past day 20 and you make it look so easy. I wish I was this good at the game. It sucks dying and having to start all over again. Great video btw!
Thanks! :) keep playing and dying, we all have been there! ;) Hamlet is hard, its the hardest dlc, even me who plays so many years had trouble staying alive. When you start a new world, try to explore all map and gather resources/food while exploring. If you don't sit in the base all time, then you should be fine! :) when you setting up your base, try to plant atleast 20 berry bushes and have atleast one spider nest nearby, then you will be able to make meat balls any time.
Wild fires are off, so I dont have to worry if something can burn! :) My base is too small, even when I hear bearger or deerclops I have enough time to run out of my base. In my other world, I play as wanda most of the time and I have a watch, that teleports me away from base when I hear deerclops. If I dont play as wanda, then I use telelocator focus
I dont know, just wanted to build something new and test some ideas :) I didnt delete it and I think I might return back someday. Curently waiting for Klei plans for roadmap 2023, it its new DLC, then im returning for sure back to old world! :) Im sure we will have more lands to explore anway, if its not new DLC and I will return back anyway.
This time I didnt rush, spent most of the days building base. Normaly I go for toad after 3-4 springs, when I have enough weather pains. U dont need 10 weather pains, but I make sure I have atleast 10. If you play as Wolfgang or Wanda and have spicy volt goat meal, probably 5 will be enough. For CC, this time I did around day 500 or less, but I wasnt enough prepared, so I just killed it for one crown. At day 700-800 I had enough resources to kill 3x CC each spring. I usualy dont rush bosses if I have too many things to build in base, do it after If I dont know what to build. :)
Its random, I regenerated worlds many times to get something interesting like this. There are also some mods that can help you get more interesting worlds, but I forgot the name. There are also dock kits, which you can get by visiting monkey island and giving queen 4-5 bananas and she will drop a blueprint. With dock kits you can build your own island, but only in shallow waters.
@@Red_Carnage oh, very interesting! If it's randomly generated, would it still happen no matter what settings you choose? (like loops and sizes and stuff)
@@kayceec43 yes, last time when i generated interesting world I left these settings default, but I generated new world like 100 times. You can generate a world, reveal map and if you dont like it, then regenerate. Like I said, there was also a mod, if im not mistaken it was chaos worldgen which sometimes gives interesting map
