I've always liked how it seems like you play on a world up until you're ready to fight the bosses. Instead of just spawning in the items and boss and doing it like that.
Yeah, big respect: in the Shipwrecked video Gellot fought tree guards on day 18, then Sealnado on day 31, then Tiger Shark and Quacken between days 40-50
@@rain7895 you mean when they spawn? That's not a great feat to kill these bosses on their spawn schedule. Killing Quacken day 1 or 2 is a different story.
Yeah I think they should give more reason to lower sanity in this fight, maybe any sanity gained after 100% should be used to damage you Phase 1: each 1 sanity overflow is 0.25 damage to your health Phase 2: each 1 sanity overflow is 0.50 damage to your health Phase 3: each 1 sanity overflow is 1 damage to your health Here’s my fair exception though, the ancient fuelweaver will drop a shadow talisman that will make immune to the sanity overflow damage as long as it’s in you’re inventory or backpack Edit: a year later I take it back actually, not having a boss progression is a good thing for a game like DST come to think of it
@@tallkids-spencerhuyck179no please no. You're watching a Wolfgang with 4x default damage fight the Celestial Champion over the course of six entire minutes. If the devs made Celestial Champion's 100 sanity gain per minute into pure damage, it would be quite nearly be the most unfun boss in the entire game for anyone, especially for players who are fighting solo without Wolfgang's damage bonus, as they'd spend probably quadruple the time fighting and collecting copius amounts of anti sanity food.
@@AeyakS I said this one year ago cause I wanted a boss progression that is done in a certain order with the sanity damage thing gatekeeping the boss requiring you to defeat the ancient fuelweaver first to make the boss progression fit into the story like the dungeon guardian from terraria. But given the updates that came in the year after I posted this reply I wouldn’t say that I agree with my past statement anymore. In fact now that I think about it allowing players to fight bosses in the order they want to seems better so I think I take it back
Shadow chess pieces are certainly a hard fight, and require a lot of preparation to do no-hit (cobblestones, walking cane, magilumiescence, etc) but it’s certainly doable with some practice.
Damn g. I was watching like how TF can you so easily dodge spin attack with just cane!! Then I saw u munch food for mighty and realized it's old wolf. Then I saw you used volt jelly for increased dmg in rain. Made it look so easy. I can't quite beat it the second stage with 3 friends...might be easier solo eh
You can dodge it with just cane. The celestial champion matches your speed when it performs the spin attack. However, if you equip a speed buff after it does its animation you will be faster than the champion.
