Am I wrong or is that window the same window in Wilson's house from the original trailer for Don't Starve?

No 100%. If you watch the Nintendo Switch launch trailer for Don’t Starve Together. When Wilson sees the Ancient Fuel Weaver, he fucking SMIRKS in a way that says “Bring it.”. And the dude is armed with only a spear. In fact, a lot of the survivors in that trailer are shown to be pretty confident as well. They are certainly get used to this world.

Didn't you watch the WX-78 short? WX-78 used to be a normal human and a colleague of Wagstaff. They were trying to make a machine that can transport human consciousness into a robotic body. Wagstaff's colleague was the one to volunteer in the experiment. And it succeeded. WX-78 came to be. But it wasn't all good. The human consciousness of the colleague couldn't accept that their body is gone. WX-78 decided it would be best for him to remove his empathy module (the only thing that kept WX-78 from becoming an emotionless robot with no memory of what it was like being a human.) Wagstaff disagreed with that and they had a verbal fight. In the end Wagstaff decided it would be best to send his "failed experiment" with a turned off empathy module into the constant.

We saw him fall into the constant before Wilson too (One of the art background info things for Next of Kin confirmed it was him "falling into a portal of his own design") and yet here he is, safely outside the constant in that house... Y'know, I bet that's why it was derelict when Wilson got it. Whenever I find myself thinking of Wagstaff only ever being in the constant by projection despite falling into a portal I always circle back to Mumsy's "Another of your kind passed through here once" line. It lives rent-free in my head and I still don't know what to make of it given the events feel like a dropped plotline now.

You can get the gramophone by placing down a relic chair next to pearl and acquiring the saw horse which let's you craft it and other decorations like tables
