I'll admit to somewhat begrudgingly working through this one today which resulted in some "lazy" showcases with the living log crafts however if I would've gone into finer detail with all of them we'd be here all day. I think the new content spoiled me a bit, the content just flowed with ease! :D Hollowed Nights AND the full Forgotten Knowledge update out soon!
I'm imagining some hilarious trolling with the telelocator, imagine you see a moose goose while you're out running around and you just hit it with the staff and teleport it into your friend's house
Decent way to "farm" living logs is to lure aoe hitting bosses into dense forest (which you can plant). 1 Bearger can "chop" through 2-3 guardians which will spawn, maybe more with your help.
I could swear that when I was playing ds solo a few yrs ago you could set down a living log, light it on fire and it would follow you around almost like a mandrake. I must have dreamt that up thought because I have found no trace of that being a thing anywhere!
Well I think the intent was for it to be a portable source of warmth and light, like a crossover between a lantern and a thermal stone. But yes I can see how it would be terrifying, especially since living logs scream when they burn 😂
11:58 You can if you've got a farm that produces food, and then Wormwood eats that food, and then sleeps in a tent to really easily regenerate HP. Or with the hallowed nights exclusive arboretum experiment.
Not everyone plays Wormwood and unless people already built the stuff or switched over to it the seasonal event content is also not something everyone uses or even knows about. The point stands for the general populace and that's the idea of guides.
Little interesting note about Treeguards. You can use an axe as a weapon against them and the axe will lose durability as if you were chopping down a tree and also does like 4 or 5 times damage against the Treeguards. Found this out by accident by chopping wood, spawning a treeguard and forgetting to switch to my spear
I think that this is really one that mainly applies to better players of the game, as it requires at least some skill to defeat tree guards and even obtain what you need for any crafts that include them.
Hey Beard, Love the channel and your style. With so much content in this incredible game I almost have trouble tracking and focusing on things I want to do. I'd love if you did a top 25 items list or the essentials of DST gaming to bring players to that next level
Since wormwood doesn't take damage from food he can farm green and red mushrooms for hunger and sanity and he can make salves for the heath taken from making LL to replenish the farms.
Hello, I am wondering if you hav a video on fire. My friend has just learned how to play don’t starve so my and my two friends can play together. After burning many bases she still does not understand fire spread and when to light things. If you do hav a video on fire 5at I can show her, can I please hav the link?
I tend to walk away 4 screens then when I go back, poison birchnut becomes docile and lets me chop it down without resistance. Don't know if this works on dst.
This is pretty unlucky. So this was my first ever DST world so I was a total noob, I decided to make my base with birchnut trees as my wood source. On day two I chop down one of my birchnut trees and BOOM poison birchnut tree appeared right in the middle of my base. I had to abandoned my base because I didn’t have any armor or weapons
Tree guardians are pricks!! They are really shy when you need logs, but always spawn when you're NEVER ready! And the poison birchnut trees are just as bad!
I saw the video when it was 13 seconds old I also got the first view and like on my other profile or at least it told me I'm first also it's unrelated but they need to make a wormwood luner skin I've been waiting about 12 months
