Her voice is not that bad if she takes lessons she'll probably be able to hit high notes, she was just nervous (that's why she hesitated at first why can't her mum understand that it's so upsetting)

Honestly you can hear that she has quite a good voice for singing, but her mom has ruined her confidence. At 19:56 you hear her real vocal tone and its nice. Also you don't pass the first round of Kpop Star if you have no talent. She's still young and her voice is still growing and improving. You can't really know at that age how her voice will be a couple years later. And her lyrics are really nice, with some work they could be super good. Jeongyeon was admiring her lyrics and she has written lyrics for multiple Twice songs, so she knows a little about it. My voice isn't at all what it was when I was in middle school and my song writing has also improved a lot, so if she practises there is no reason why she couldn't make it.

I remembered BTS suga, his parents even ripped his lyrics and note papers just to make him stop, they want him to focus on his studies. For this girl, continue pursuing your dreams and always respect your parents.

She has good singing potential and her lyrics are actually really good for someone who wasn’t formally taught how to write lyrics.

these cases are actually really sad. the fact that the girl had a dream she wanted to pursue for a pretty young age is amazing. it’s really devastating if people close to you are the first people to shatter your self-esteem. what if she gave up? she would basically be her mom’s puppet. she would only follow her orders and not even try to do anything anymore. i hope she could pursue her dream and to anyone having similar situtations. fighting ~ [i have kind of the same circumstances. when it comes to academics i would always be yelled out for a single mistake by my family. i’m so used to it now lol but that ain’t gonna stop me from my dream so i hope you won’t stop too]

Every remark the mother said boiled my blood, especially "It's better if I hurt her than someone else." No, that's not how it works. She won't develop an inferiority complex from other people, she is developing that right now because of Hye Young's mother. And being a singer isn't JUST talent, it's hard work, singing is a skill meant to be honed and practiced and Hye Young's got the passion to better herself in something she loves. Other remarks such as "Look at her, she has no talent at all." and "You have to be pretty like them to be a singer" is just plain wrong. And just because you planned out the lives of her older siblings and it worked doesn't mean it'll work on her too.

Tzuyu is like the kid too. Tzuyu came to Korea by herself because she want to be a singer,she want to improve her skills of singing. I was really happy for Tzuyu that had a golden heart for people like this.

I can 100% relate to this girl. I have a mom who against my dream. I've been always wanted to be a model since I was on elementary school and that dream never changed until I was on high school. But my mom always told me that being model means you have no future and no stable income. I really wanted take a modelling class when I was on middle school but my mom just harshly said no, I wanted to apply for model competition but my mom just didn't let me go. After graduated high school, she forced me to being a flight attendant and paid for class. Now I'm a flight attendant with a stable income but I just can't forget how hurt my heart bc my mom didn't let me to pursue my dream to be a model

She actually shaded Twice when she said they're beautiful & she's not, meaning beauty is a big factor in becoming a singer probably bigger than talent alone. Or the fact that a pretty person can have their foot in the door & work hard for the rest. Isn't it sad that someone who has the talent & passion to become an artist like this girl, maybe can't defeat the odds because of her looks. I've noticed that her inspiration is AKMU who's like an indie group in the Kpop industry, since they create their own music. I really hope her mother comes around & even if not, that she somehow finds the strength to continue her dream. I know parents are very important factors of idols becoming idols, that support & sanctuary they provide is vital for idols to move on even if it's hard.

whether or not the kid has talent, it's a parent's job to support them. I praise the mom for raising three kids alone, but doing that doesn't just mean paying bills. I know it's hard, but if your mom doesn't support you, it'll make everything harder. even being a businesswoman or whatever the mom wants her to be. without having that secure feeling of your parent's supporting you, everything in life becomes more difficult

I've been watching many episodes of this show of this show this week and I just love how Dongyup, Youngja, Chanwoo and Taegyun are so kind and considerate to people.

That is how my self esteem is destroyed. My mother always shame me. No mental support. Now I'm adult with anxiety, easily stressed and anger problems.

I told my parents that I wanted to become an actress when I was 15 but my dad immediately said "Who would want you." and my mom said "Up to you." , both of them said with a tone of disgust and disappointment. I studied hard and got straight A's without tuitions so that they would trust me that I'm a hard worker and I won't give up easily in pursuing my acting career. But that back fired and they wanted me to become a doctor instead. Now I'm going to go into University to study to become a doctor, which I never wanted to. I wish I could do something so that my words would reach them.. I love acting, I love all about it, I love becoming another characters, discovering new talents when I become a certain characters. I have major grudge towards them, sad but true.

she's still young going through puberty so her looks will definitely change, we were all ugly once at that stage of life, we grow and our features changes to a better looks, she compared her with the idols, first they are adults second they have make up on, 3rd they definitely did some surgical procedure to look that! so your daughter is growing and if you keep telling her you're ugly she will carry that to her adulthood. I was teased by my looks by my parents and siblings now im almost 30 and most of the time I think im ugly and no self esteem but thankfully to the people around me Im changing day by day, my bf and my best friends helping me realize im beautiful strong woman! I hope she gets all the support from her family and does not carry that negativity to her adulthood!
