I am basically a finesse fishing when using plastic worms Texas Rig or wacky rig and Ned rig. Those are my confident go2faith. I do basically the same thing when I make my jigs. Just with out the tubing. When I’m epoxying in the weed guard I dip it in about 1/2” into the epoxy and get off the excess and glue it in. It does basically the same thing by stiffening up the bottom of the weed guard. But this is a great idea for those “on the water fixes”. You’re the best G-Man! PMA all day!!!!

Awesome tip Gman! Love the content! Like someone else mentioned, I have used shrink tubing before when fishing offshore brush piles, but I’ll have to try this! Seems like it might last longer if I don’t glue my fingers to it lol

GMan for the weed guard, you can use a piece of electrical heat shrink tubing It comes in a bunch of colors if you wanted to match the weed guard. All you need is a pocket touch lighter to shrink it down. You can even double up on it if you wanted to. I use it for my cheater hooks and when I run a blade on the back of my jigs.

GMAN does NOT mess around with lubrication 👀 suckin on everything that moves😂😂
