In this video, we explain why you should never fix a microwave. There are many components in a microwave that are dangerous and DIY fix should be avoided at all cost.

Great video tutorial, many thanks to you guys. I wanted to better understand about the capacitor and transformer and how dangerous they are. I will definitely replace my 2014 Frigidaire microwave!

@ 6:12 The fins and the magnet on the magnetron works on the same principal as the vacuum tube when it is energized electrons will flow from the anode to the cathode. In short, it changes electrical current to radiation.

$20 worth of copper? I seriously doubt that unless your scrap yard is paying 5 X + what mine is paying! I wish that was true.

Idk about copper but the transformer itself can sell for about $20 on eBay

@@doggollamaman It might bring $20 now, price has gone way up since I posted that comment! I went to the scrap yard the other day and #1 clean copper was bringing $3.97 a pound.
