Visiting Shrine at Night is a horror game created by Charon of Yanderella fame that's essentially a side scrolling version of Exit 8 but instead of being stuck in a tunnel you're trapped visiting a shrine and must spot the differences.

Same, I had a folder with all the CHARON games from around 2014-2015. Yanderella, Mix Ore, Makoto Mobius, The Dark Side of Red Riding Hood, Mikoto Niki... Idk if CHARON continues releasing video games, but I'm glad that his video games are becoming known ^^

_I love the red bow_ 🎀 The art work is what really made this game special. The sudden change of the shrine maiden and the parade of demons was very cool. For a simple game, it had nice scares.

It's a good mini horror game. Since Exit 8, this has been the second game I've seen that's based on that game. Only with spirits instead of anomalies and the candles lit up tells you how many times you pass the area until you make it to the end of game.

I found this more charming than Exit 8, though of course it's simpler and with less variety in anomalies (at least, that we saw - though the no-footsteps world was cool). The pixel art helps a lot when it comes to differentiating the style. It wasn't overdone graphically. Just simple and charming. Good clone.

Oh neat, I guess Exit 8 was popular enough now that we're gonna get more of this "spot the difference" horror game. Forcing the player to pay attention to progress is a good way to get in their head. Hopefully it doesn't devolve into a bunch of games with nothing but jump scares. Exit 8 had a lot of clever little things and atmosphere, there were only a couple of jump scares really.

Hello Manly! this might be annoying because I've been saying this a lot of times, but i highly recommend playing Elevator Hitch! Like i said before, it's made by the same creators that made Dead Plate and Cold Front! It's about 2 co-workers that get stuck inside an elevator! It's like a surreal horror escape room with point and click elements!
