I'M SORRY... I was about to write a whole 'why Bungou stray dogs is great' essay until I watched the video... What's with the title? Great video by the way💕
@@Seyoriasactually its sad since people really clicked it to start a fight about how good the anime is. But they forget that everyone can have their own thoughts.
BYE LOL I THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA BE LIKE THAT ONE GROWN MAN SAYING THAT HXH SUCKED, WAS BORING, AND “BADLY WRITTEN” BUT WOW THANK YOU FOR SPREADING THE BSD GOSPEL!
Thank you for making this! I watched it after I saw the anime to see if you’re right with your description, and you were completely right! The anime is perfect but too underrated! And if you don’t listen, you will understand nothing anymore! Thank you for making this, stay safe 🫶🏻
After reading a interview of the mangaka I wouldn't call this a seinen, the mangaka said it's not targeted to a specific gender or age group, the mangaka said it's for people who need stories like oxygen, which to me sounds like neurodivergent and or queer people
i saw the title and i clicked ont his video ready to write a whole comment defending this show about how good the story n characters are, but then i watched the video... GREAT VIDEO LOL!!
For me, the show peaked during the Odasaku saga and then started becoming too predictable. Awesome music though. I wouldn't really call Bungou strays dogs seinen. Watch anime like Ergo Proxy, Wolf's Rain, Paranoia agent, Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze, Parasyte the Maxim, Monster and Rainbow and then tell me if you still think BSD is seinen.
@@box7147 It was clear to me that they were trying to set up Fyodor as the Aizen of the series (hence why he keeps on saying it's all part of my plan or I knew you would do that) with Dazai being his rival (Urahara). If you've watched Bleach, you'll know what I'm talking about. If you've watched as many shounen and seinen anime as I have, certain character tropes keep on popping up. This isn't to knock down BDS though, it's still a great series.
@@Muthoni110wooww so you guessed tachihara would be 5th hunting dog and fukuchi will pull a victim card?so if you watch too much anime you do become smart.
@@box7147 Chill out bro, I was talking about certain repeating character tropes in anime. Maybe if you tried to watch some of the other anime I've listed above instead of getting triggered you'd see what I'm saying. But if you're just one of those anime fans who quickly gets upset at any slight criticism of their favourite anime then there's not much else to be said here. I'm not going to start a petty online argument with a random weeb on the internet✌️🏾.
I have one critique of the video and the show itself, especially the later seasons. Spoilers for whoever hasn't watched it, all the way to s5. You're warned. I'd argue the stakes don't get heightened at all. Yes yada yada world destruction and shit but when do you actually see anybody die? I found myself extremely uninvested in the parts where characters took the worst injuries known to mankind, and one to two episodes later at best, they're completely fine. This is a combination of yosanos presence/regen powers/fucking whatever but the anime has blue balled us so much with death baits. In the same season we have people having their hearts stopped, throat injuries, fukuzawa has a sword cut through his entire torso and no medical intervention for plenty of time, yozano and dazai both getting "shot", akutagawa outright dies, kunikida loses his hands and gets blown up, rampo almost gets killed, the old dandy mafia gentleman was shown to "die" (this can make sense considering who he was up against, killing who he considered a friend probably wasn't his priority), any injury atsushi withstands... and none of these have any sort of permanent consequence. They just get healed and move on. And when a character did die (?), being sigma, it wasn't even in combat. He holds someone's hand before marriage and dies. This man fell out of the sky, for kilometers, and dies for engaging in a very moderate homoerotic activity. The worst part of watching all of the events happen was my brain telling me that considering the precedents, they were fine. I havent read the manga so this could very well be used later in the story, but Kunikidas hand loss could actually have been incredibly drastic for the agency. The technically second in command (we all know its rampo) and idealist poet losing his ability to write for his ideal could have been a really big thing but no one of the hunting dogs makes fun of him once and that is all. I love season 5 and the show as a whole, stayed up till 3 am to watch it which isn't something I usually do, but the lack of any real consequence on the good guys is a moodkiller. I can't even remember the last time someone dying was a bad thing, besides oda and the captain of moby dick. Who has like ten lines at best
this show died for me during season 3, I still watched season 4 and 5. I loved dead apple and everything before it but but season 3 was such a nothing season. Season 4 started good but then introduced tons more characters on top of the already giant cast and refused to do anything interesting with the old cast. Season 5 was so close SO CLOSE to being good and was probably the best season out of the 3 but my god was the villain's motivations absolutely absurd. I could not for the life of me take that stupid shit seriously. With that being said I will be there when season 6 premieres
Yeah fr, i'm told my friend to watch this, He's watch but in the middle he told that he's not understand the story at all. But to me, this a great anime of all the time, the power, the stories, the world building and the most important is how every characters has unique stories. This basically what motives me to make novel too!!
I saw this in my suggested and left halfway through a video I was watching to come over here. I was ready to kill you man, but this video was actually so incredibly nice! The sections were helpful, everything was concise, and the editing was good too! I'm gonna look into the show you suggested at the end, and the ones you showed at 3:18.
