It makes me feel sad to see him like this, but I love that his laugh sounds so free.

"Are you hearing any sounds, Don ?" followed by a fish, swimming through the desert. That is a very Don Van Vliet way of answering the question !

Don was amazing and still is wherever he may be. Even in his very ill health in this video, his poetic prowess still remains. His abstract humor is timeless.

Someday, someone's going to transcribe that piano piece for guitar or something and it will be excellent.

great documentary, he had an amazing unique life. R.I.P. Don.

The only place you can get ribs this time of nite in L.A. is the bible Roland. Something only the Captain could think of. Such a gentle and fragile person, almost ashamed to be human. Thank God for people like Mr. Van Vliet.

It's not sad; it's beautiful. Everybody dies. Few have the gift of dying gracefully and without holding on to lies and vanity as he did. Death is life. He knew this.

don was 52 in this video....he looks like a man in his mid-60s. makes you wonder how hes doing now...
