The song I liked most when it came out was Turn Out The Light. It was one of the first ones I heard from Don Williams and it touched a chord. Having only a radio in the car, you had to wait for it.

The Gentle Giant had just an incredible voice. This is one of my favorites. On his 2014 album Reflections he has a song called Stronger Back which is fantastic and would be a great one for you to react to. Love the channel.

Grew up listening to him, my parents were huge fans! Now I still listen to him. His songs are like serotonin for the soul. Every one should listen and the world would automatically be a better place. RIP Don and thank you 🎼❤️

I really like the harmony in this one. My favorite Don Williams songs are 'Come Early Morning,' which has a bit of a cajun feel (to me) and 'Lord Have Mercy On A Country Boy,' which is very personal in its sentiment for me.

I never viewed the songwriter as downtrodden. I think the music and the message are both hopeful. There’s a thankfulness that I hear in it. He’s thankful for the Lord’s blessings.
