I think this is the best song to introduce a newby to Dimash. When I first saw this video, I was left in awe. I thought to myself, I could witnessing the best singer on the planet. It showcases his control and his range better than any of his other songs (in my opinion).
Me too Dear and I bawled my eyes out. I actually took a year of French in public school when I was younger but not enough to understand these lyrics the first time I heard them. All I knew was that beautiful angelic voice was singing an emotionally charged existential tho spiritual song to perfection that expressed every woe I had ever felt in my 65 years of life including the tremendous grief I was feeling at that time from losing my best friend far too soon into a realm where I could not follow despite my heart being so heavy it felt as if I had. The world had lost all color and my sense of self had been knocked off the even keel my mother had placed me on since birth. I'm still not fully recovered but DQs voice pulled my spirit from that living hell where I had fallen. He was a Godsend to me personally. I pray he lives a long fulfilling joyful life. ❤
Agree 100%! Today, the lyrics got to me, although I’ve heard and seen this performance a couple of hundred times in the past six years. Maybe it’s everything that’s going on in the world in the past few days and the horror unfolding that makes this performance so special once again, to me. When the second verse comes up, and again, he asks, why do I live, why do I die? Why do I laugh, why do I cry? it is a question for every human being and the frustration of feeling like a misfit, and not knowing how to fit in or handle things in this life, comes through so well again, today. But, while this performance moved me to tear because of how I’m feeling, Dimash also can soothe. And, it was a pleasure seeing the guest enjoying Dimash so much. So that did make me smile. 😊 His best song next to his performance of it on I am Singer, 2017. Thank o you for your comment!

Pra mim essa é a música mais bem cantada da história, sem exagero, nenhuma canção tem todos os registros de voz , mas essa tem !! E muito bem colocados sem exagero e de forma simples , ele vai de um a2 à um mi6 passando por registros de voz como se fosse simples ,mas é insano !!
Have you listened to Dimash sing "Hello", Ikanaide", "Sinful Passion, All BY Myself, Ave Maria, or even All By Myself ( from the Singer 2017 competition)? Maybe even Plympico. Give them a shot. Dimash will never let you down with his talent. Everything he sings is beyond words.

Hi Joel! I’m so glad to see someone who is so well connected in the American music industry introducing Dimash’s name and music to real professionals in your industry. FYI! since ~ October 2022, Dimash has actually been attending the New York Film Academy for a one year internship specializing in film directing because he won the Bolashak International Scholarship from Kazakhstan. This will also help Dimash learn English much faster. I know his heavy accent has been a primary complaint amongst Americans. Thanks for introducing his songs to your colleagues!
