Has anyone ever noticed that the soundbytes of Donald snoring are reused from at least two older shorts, "Old Sequoia" (1945) and Mickey's Trailer (1938)?
Glad to have confirmation that this is the finale of this particular theme! I'm learning from these videos that Disney tends to be really good with audio of their reissues and usually can be reliable; it's the title card itself that tend to be the biggest differences. Either way it's better to have solid confirmation than guess wildly! Keep it up my man!
Another original print for a Donald Duck short from the Disney's RKO-era found. NOTE: to be a Donald Duck cartoon restored for DVD, the audio quality sounds very good
Thanks for the note about the audio. I forgot to mention above that the soundtrack comes from a region 2 dvd called Donald’s Laugh Factory (released in many European countries in 2005). I’ve added that to the desciption now.
And another one found! A small note, but on top of this being the last Donald short to use the old theme, it and presumably Straight Shooters (given the latter preceded this earllier in '47 and used the older theme too) both used the then-new MPAA logo instead of the older one.
@@erik_palm Thanks for the info, and that's a long time for a scan and I already knew it was in a professional lab. A quick question, what other prints do you have?
