George van den Broek is the outstanding talent behind Yellow Days. A project he put together with his school friends and became one of the most interesting experimental blues album of 2017.
Songwriter and producer, 19 year old George transformed his feelings into music from an early age as he explains it. His idol is Ray Charles and he trust his gut more than method. And it's working.
In 2018 his song "The Way Things Change" was picked by Donald Glover for the trailer of Atlanta S2.

ffs....anyone else spend the better part of this interview turning the house inside out looking for whatever effing sensor/alarm was going off or random piece of electronics that was failing or whatever? Ugh. Then I scrolled on down to the comments and well, not my proudest moment. Anyhoo, this kid is silly gifted and I hope he'll be at it for a good long while.

kylehereKC once again, this was the designated place they gave us for the interview. We don’t choose the place, unfortunately. There was a fridge there making the noise and they didn’t let us turn it off. It was this or nothing and I chose to stick with the interview.

I think your perception of 19 year olds is skewed because of how you saw yourself. There are so many young, creative musicians with amazing ideas so age is completely irrelevant.

sKiiTs8 it goes both ways. To think that someone who is 30 is old, is also a matter of perception due to where you are in life, and it was a joke, funny banter between two different generations. I never doubted his creativity or intelligence, otherwise I wouldn't bother interviewing him, you're making assumptions maybe based on your own perception? :)

sKiiTs8 how condescending... you don't have to say "30 year olds" to know your talking about it, it's implicit, and he says it in the interview. I interview a lot of young artists :) thanks for the advice, I didn't know them at all, first time! And when did I call him an asshole? You're trying to create a problem where there isn't one. Maybe it is a very personal issue for you, but don't make it mine.
