I think people liked him because he was this ridiculous larger than life character. And a lot of people thought that’s what “Donald Trump” was, a character. They thought he would be more mellow as a politician. I think people started to dislike him because they went, “Oh shit, this is actually who he is.” His energy was awesome for TV, but not necessarily for president. Part of me is really sad that he got caught up in politics, because he would have been remembered much more fondly had he remained a reality tv star. 🙁
