Make no mistake: If someone other than Trump is selected as the nominee in 2024, the same blind loyalty will be given to that person. Trump is, of course, so narcissistic that he feeds on the loyalty and agitates for more of it, but then, on the other hand, the religious fervor of the fundamentalists is growing ever crazier as the world evolves outside their control and society changes in ways they cannot abide. Humanity must divest itself of superstition and revelation ("faith") if it is to survive.

I'm not an expert in American law, but I understand that declassifying documents is a formal procedure that involves individual review of each document by multiple agencies etc. It's quite a bureaucratic process that needs multiple signatures. It's definitely not the case that old Donnie can just declassify documents just because he fancies talking about nuclear codes with his barista for 10 minutes.

One further question: is the President allowed to take documents that do not belong to him back to his shoddy pad in Florida and keep them despite being ordered to return them by the proper authorities? Whether or not these documents are "classified" or not really doesn't play into it. Would your buddy Donald be allowed to take the original Constitution home with him? How about the Hope Diamond from the Smithsonian? I'm sure he'd love to own Marilyn Monroe's famous dress. Are you cool with Dolt45 walking out the door with that? But, hey, don't worry: I'm sure the Electoral College will make all your wet dreams come true and re-install your favorite President in the Oval Office.
