Y'all if you don't already love theo, hear me out. I had three spine surgeries this year. I called theos podcast after my second one. Dude no fkn shit I get a call one night and he just talked to me and listened for like a half hr, then sent me the green smiley face hoodie that says "be good to yourself"... dude will always have my support and then a few months later is talking to presidents. But still cared to call a guy from a small town in idaho. Much love bruh
Yep. That’s Theo. I saw him in Phoenix and I happened to be sitting at the same table as his mom and we talked between sets. He’s everyone’s friend that made it. I love it how he advocates for those in recovery.
I DEFINITELY agree man I had 4 spine surgeries and his podcast and videos got me thru the healing process! Good luck on ur recovery and much LOOOOOOOOOOVE Theo!!
My favorite part of this interview is that Theo does not treat Trump like a celebrity. He’s not trying to impress him, he’s just himself. So refreshing.
When he kept calling him Donald (instead of Mr. Trump) I was like 😬, thinking Trump could get offended. Then slipped in a casual 'dude' too 😂 I think I was a wild ride for Trump 🤣
Theo is so underrated, it is astounding how accessible President Trump is. If that doesn't say something about who he is, and the fact Dana White is a friend and honest to Theo, tells me something about Theo as well. If you didn't watch Theo/Dana episode you are missing out. Theo told Dana he would love to have President Trump on his show, and Dana said I'll make that happen, and here it is. Dana is a man of his word without question!
And also cocaine almost started to make him feel like a mechanic or something is another good dodge from Trump. Gotta be a composed man to not at least giggle at Theo's analogies 😆😆😆😆
I wish i could hit thumbs up 1000 times, that statement was so funny and Trump just rolled with itTheo is so frickn funny. ....and then your go cart racing with hookers😂😂😂😂😂 #recovering@c8203
@@princekadeem8689 but then spent no time questioning the actions and words of a man who attempted a coup. Seems like Theo is either an idiot, or his civics teacher was trash. Maybe both
You know both of them were briefed on what they can and can't say right, and told to ask certain questions, with pre planned answers? You seriously believe thats not the case?
Listening to Trump talk about his brother's alcoholism and Theo's perspectives on recovery was really humbling. Trump even says "I don't drink, but I could see myself being the kind of guy who might have a problem with it if I did" That's some pure honesty. Respect.
Agreed. Idc if you hate him, everyone has been affected by addiction. Addiction doesn’t discriminate or donate to a certain party. Addiction is a universal struggle.
@@mattarc-p7i Right, go watch tv for half an hour and report back and tell me how many advertisements you get for beer. Then, go to any local convenient or grocery store and see all the bottles of wine, and huge cases of beer with signs all over the store showing them off with lower prices than fruit juice. Then, go out for a drive and see how many liquor stores you see advertised all over the place. It's not that crazy to think about until you realize there's only a couple drugs on the planet that can kill you from just withdrawal symptoms and Alcohol is one of them. It's insanely normalized for a substance which is physically more dangerous than Meth
I had just watched Joe Rogan's interview and am watching this now. You did an incredible job, Theo, of bringing the human side of Donald Trump to light by sharing your own stories and struggles. I knew Trump cares about people despite his hard exterior, but we don't really get to see it in the media. This is great. Thank you!
He's politically incorrect and says the way it is! He's not a panderer or just tries to get sound clips or has any media bias on his side (fox news aside)....gives zero shits and that's what we NEED in the White House again! Putin, Un, Iran, Taliban.....all scared shitless of Trump because he's unpredictable yet he never started a freaking way or conflict!
Theo’s podcast now is what Joe Rogan’s used to be, insane variety of guests, interesting and funny conversations without the same 4-5 talking points bought up in every single episode. You’re the king of this shit bro
Joe is still a great interviewer, sure he gets carried away in a few topics from time to time but he can still interview with the best. Theo is definitely killing it though.
@@acutecloudd7970 I mean they got pretty personal Theo von opened up to Trump about his drug and alcohol addiction, it doesn't all need to be political if they're just having a civil conversation. Is that not allowed??
@@acutecloudd7970wdym? He asked plenty of deep and personal questions. Just not politically motivated or relevant… then again that obviously wasn’t the point of this interview.

@CadeSubscriptionAccount 😂😂 you people say anything for the hell of it lmao. Plenty of people having "fun" now. Just because u ain't don't mean plenty of others aren't
The delicate balance Theo plays of being borderline interruptive and slightly unhinged while remaining professional and hilarious simultaneously is an absolute work of art. Well done Theo!
RIGHT. Im so happy Theo Von was the first person to actually have the balls to say something real in this situation. This conversation gives me a lot of hope for the future of journalism.
this is why we must talk about addiction, alcohol and drug abuse. There's healing in conversation. Sharing your journey, your struggles, shame, and pain in the right setting, with the right people, can facilitate a new beginning.
“Cocaine made me feel like I was a mechanic” cocaine,l turn ya into an owl, end up on your own porch” trump was probably like what the hell did I get myself into
Theo and Jordan Petersons podcast where they talked about alcohol actually helped convince me to go to rehab. Thank you guys for talking about this stuff. It does help! 17 months sober 💪
I saw a video of Theo at a stop light, and a guy pulled up next to him and starting talking. Theo spoke to that man exactly like he is speaking to Trump. So down-to-earth and kind.
Exactly….Im not a huge trump fan but the way he interacted with Theo lets me know he’s a true American…Rather you are weird, political, business-man, homeless, IM HERE FOR YOU…that’s what I got out of it
My favorite part is he's just munching on a snack when he's seen on camera 😄 just chewing the cud, saying what's up, and leaving the line when the light hits
Hey you out there. You haven't lost your mind as long as you've got your integrity to try. Methadone programs work! It will be your last stop if you are seriously wanting your life back. Three things to remember: Never talk about drugs in the clinic. Never mix methadone with other stuff, it's your last stop! Never entertain conversations with anyone about when you are going to get off of methadone. Bring it up with yourself once a year and weigh the pros and cons. Never forget where you came from.
They key to the success of Theo and Trump is they are 100% authentic. No matter where they are or who they are talking to they are always unapologetically themselves!
That’s what makes the connection more awesome. And you can see Trump doesn’t take it as an insult and takes it as being friendly and also that’s just how Theo talks lol. Trump has some close friends with people you’d never though of like for example Mike Tyson lol
*Wrong. Trump is the ENEMY of our democracy. The best thing about Theo is how natural he is around extremely influential people. He doesn't try to impress them, doesn't change his personality, and just treats them like anyone else. Thank you for providing a balanced platform. Having Bernie and Trump on your platform is the epitome of a unbiased platform. Keep up the great work Theo!
The one genuinely sane and decent thing I've ever heard Trump aay was about the dangers of alcohol abuse. He's a sad ratf*ck excuse of a human being besides, but I gotta be fair, y'know.
I'm not sure about his comments that cocaine has an unpleasant effect. Like heroin, it's a terrible drug because of the pleasurable effect it produces.
I came for laughs but was extremely taken back by how well Theo actually interviewed him. And how well and civil it stayed the whole time. Congrats Theo you nailed it.
@@jodog31 Fear mongering? Heard only President Trump stating his view that the lobbyists representing teachers and lawyers hold the much of the power over Washington D.C. policy making. Your view appears to be based on your extensive research of watching cableTV or TikTok.
That's the thing, Trump is a good person, and yet so many work overtime to demonize him because they don't want their crime spree to come to an end... and so many people believe what the media say about Trump over the people who are actually interviewing him.
Thanks for being brave enough to comment. I’ve seen interview after interview with Donald Trump and he’s really a down-to-earth guy now of course he’s got an ego, but I really believe the media paints him to be something he’s not and you know what I believe this country needs someone with a bit of an ego that can’t be bought off as well. I am very worried about our country. I think the whole political system is really messed up and I think we’ve got bad people on both sides. I think there’s people that have been blackmailed and compromised on both sides, and with about Donald Trump and his life, but the bottom line is things were better when he was in office and I believe they’ll be better again if he goes back in office compared to the Democrats one last thing I notice when I see the real protesters they’re always angry and violent and they run on pure motion and yes, there’s some nuts on the right. You’ve got extreme us on both, but a general rule of thumb seem former moderate Democrats have just gone off the far left and I don’t understand what’s going on actually I think I do. I think all this is intentional. I think there are some forces that are trying to put us against each other. A house divided cannot stand. We are all Americans and we need to realize what’s happening and stick together. I truly believe that I think there are some evil forces at work here. They can’t take America by force so they’ll take us down from the inside that’s what they wanna do.
Certainly appreciate someone watching a video from politics from other side. I’m formerly a liberal voted for Obama and Clinton. You’d be surprised how much you learn about DONALD in his interviews and that he’s no where near as extreme as mainstream media shows or portrays.
And Trump proceeded to do what he does best which is lying. The guy has no healthcare plan other than letting private insurances make crazy profits off people suffering
@@Cashhhhew Nobody ever said or suggested he would. Theo has already been pretty open about his support for RFK. Don't think he wants to change Trump.

That was one of the best moments of this episode. I appreciate how Trump didn't hesitate to give a frank answer about it as well. It's what we all know deep down, and it's conversations like these that get the problem out front to deal with. If Trump gets elected, I hope there can be a bridge of communication between podcasters like Theo and the Trump administration regarding issues like this one.

Anyone notice when Trump made the joke about Kamala, “that’s the ONLY thing she’s good at,” someone off screen said something to them about wrapping it up? That was Trumps best line in the interview, and his handler tried to interrupt and shut it down when he said it… Why are Trumps campaign managers trying to sabotage everything we loved about Donald Trump? They’re giving him bad advice. They’re telling him to not make jokes and be “rude,” they’re neutering what we loved about him. If anyone wants to get these people away from him. Yeah except one of them was able to sit there and tell the truth for an hour. Being "fair" to someone who lies constantly isn't really fair to the honest guest.
Theo, I noticed that you heard from Bernie and asked Trump about some of the info he gave you. I think you are doing a great service for our country by showing those two perspectives and comparing them for everyone to see. Good job Theo. Thank you for letting ANY political person speak. Whether they’re one side or another democracy requires transparency for it to be true democracy
Whilst I agree with your sentiment, we gotta stop with the democracy stuff. We aren’t a democracy. And that’s a good thing. If we were, a few states and cities would control the rest of the country forever. But that’d be why we have senators to represent us in congress. I suppose that in THAT setting we are a democracy, where majority rules to implement certain legislation. But in all, we’re a constitutional republic. We aren’t ruled by majority. We’re ruled by our constitution. So in all, we aren’t a “true democracy”. Btw, in no way is this meant to be attacking you, so please don’t take it that way. I agree with you on having different people from different sides of the political aisle on to talk to them and have discourse. It’s sorely needed.
Odd that the party screaming "THREAT TO DEMOCRACY" is all about controlling transparency and perception...like that Primanti Brothers stunt Kamala's team pulled last week having a scripted and controlled event with paid actors portraying casual diners.
