Most definitely ! I am sure they have never left anyone not getting the car back, but there has been a few that I would have said nope, see ya in the morning.
I don't care whether someone's an employee or a CEO, someone with a little authority or a lot... people who curse at strangers over the slightest inconvenience essentially have a 'low-class' sign tattooed on their forehead. F this and f that towards a stranger on the phone. What is wrong with these people
😂😂 When Karen wants to speak to the manager, and runs into Mama Bear Kristen instead! "Monday through Friday 8 to 5" Love all y'all as always. Stay safe and warm, hear?
My husband and I have watched soo many videos about this parking lot and we both agree that the church and hotel have both failed to properly identify their areas. The church has a sign saying overflow parking with an arrow and the gravel lot is aways away from the sign / it’s not properly placed. Both need to get proper signage made and place it in appropriate areas (and not pieces of paper on a stick!!).
I admire your tenacity, your techniques when getting illegally parked cars out of tough spots (without any damage!), and your reserve when dealing with difficult people!
Jeff : who has the patience of a saint Kristen: who has the patience of Job And when you make either mad … you have really crossed the line. Bless you guys and stay safe 💗
Kristen, so glad you told here you can't talk to me like that. I'm waiting for the day someone pissed off the boss enough that they have to wait for regular business hours to oick up their vehicle. Jeff, you are an amazing driver. Hope your snow and ice storm is over. Stay safe. 🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
He was either a nice man with his hands full or he was a sucker to get the car back so he did not have to sleep on the couch. Kristen stands her ground again great job Jeff and Kristen.
I hear people complain about the tow fee and they are lucky it is not me towing the cars. Ones like these would be $500 and I have been backing up boats for over 50 years without any damage. You have my permission to share this with the knuckleheads you deal with. Good job
I must say - the signage in Gatlingburg as a whole is very lax and the hotel should have a little diagram printed out if not to hand out then instead laminated with clear boundaries highlighted AND show it to EVERY guest on arrival. This is what they do everywhere we visit on continental Europe. Here in Britain our signage is much clearer by law including that it must be at every enterance and pay point terms and conditions, signage has to be secured to a wall/ firm post thats not prone to movement and at a height to be seen over and above regular vehicles and out ot reach of vandals. We have to pay almost everywhere though so we expect and hunt down signs so as not get a ticket (towing is less common).😊 Good videos!
For anyone who says they just rip you off or treat you like crap this is one of the many videos that shows otherwise. They are good ppl just making a living. If they were horrible you wouldn’t have the chance to get your car speaking to an employee like that let alone the wife. God bless you for your patience I wouldn’t have been as nice.
Iam going down there just so I can tell them, " it's my own fault" And, give them a donation towards passing out toys for the kids. Thank you for being good people
Just subscribed 12th February 2024 and have spent most of today binge watching a lot of your videos. You were just recommended into my a/c and I am so glad, I have really enjoy the videos. The best part for me are the phone calls to you about where their cars are and all the excuses they give. Hello from London, U.K
I just stumbled onto one of your videos & have become addicted! I'm always amazed at the stupidity of people. I love the patience & calmness that you both have while talking to them. Thank you for these great videos. 14:52
Great video, thanks for sharing Everything Auto: Why would anyone drag their kids with them, while taking a vacation with no money and expect to get out of paying for towing after they violated a towing parking ordinance. While I was on vacation in Franklin Tennessee. I was going to park in a parking garage to walk around their town. But my high-top van wouldn't fit, so I went back to the hotel instead and watched t.v. I make it a rule to never go on vacation, if I don't have enough money to cover my trip. Including extra for emergencies such as being towed. If money is an issue, I tend to stick closer to home and camp for my vacations which allows me to vacation on a budget and have a great time in the process. I have another rule of thumb when doing road trips, if I can't bring what I need into my hotel room, then it stays home. If I'm camping in this area my vehicle remains in my camping spot and I take the trolly into town and return before the trolly service shuts down or take a cab back to my spot. I have another rule of thumb for taking a vacation, always keep some cash on you, because you never know when you will need it. Pacifica Karen just got shut down and richly deserved it. Yelling at and cussing out the person who can help you get your car out of the impound lot is extremely stupid as Pacifica Karen found out. I'm impressed with how the husband handled the situation and turned things around.
I own a company here in NC and do just ppi and repos. In my dealings it seems like impounds are worse than repos. I'm not sure if your contracts would allow it but, I charge an afterhours pickup fee. I got tired of making myself available, I'm owner operator also, for the people not to show up when they said they would. It's helped a lot, although the people are still aggravated but they understand that no one's time should be taken for granted. But love the content and stay safe out there
I like how kind you all are to meet people after hours. You really got my attention when the boss said, "You know what? We are open Monday........" Hahaha! I loved that so much!
Your videos should be in a "what not to do while visiting Gatlinburg or why it's cheaper to pay for parking" vacation guide. Love watching the interactions with your customers.
After seeing the short on this, I couldn't wait to see the full video. I did have to wait until I got back off work though, but that is ok. There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. So, I will say this... you 2 are GREAT, and I know next time I am in the area I will be looking for you all. Hopefully not to get my car back.😎👍
that pathfinder wasn't a challenge compared to what i have seen jeff pull off just in 5 guys parking alone not to mention the one you had to back all the way out of
The lady would not shut up long enough for you to explain. She kept saying she didn’t know what to do and when you tried to answer, she would just talk over you!
My family and live just outside of Bowling Green, KY. So Gatlinburg isn’t that far for us to visit. My point is, I’m glad I subscribe to your channel and watch your videos. Thanks for the great content. It’s good info to learn from. I’ll definitely make sure we park in a correct spot if staying overnight and so forth. Don’t wanna get towed. Lol.
I think they could mark that a little bit better. They do have a lot of issues over there. Yes, the sign says "over parking" with an arrow but, in the big city, those arrows mean "from here to there".
Kinda blown away that that mom was going to call the cops for a ride…maybe not much happens in Gatlinberg (not sure if I’m spelling that right) but cops are around to solve crimes not play chauffeur
16:33 like when I help my dad out when my work gets slow during winter. We might do 20 spare keys in a day and 5 years later someone be like you remember cutting that key for me. I’m like refresh my memory we do a lot of keys. And they say a location time of year vehicle type and I’ll remember them then but when you going threw many vehicles a day it’s hard to keep track
Country Inn & Suites needs to clean up their act and be clear and consistent to customers on the parking situation. This happens too often for there not to be at least some fault on the part of CI&S.
I'm curious. Sometimes you cover the plate, sometimes you don't. Most times you beep the price, then this time you didn't... just wondering. Love the channel and the illegal tows. Pay to park tourists....
I love when y'all get salty right back with illegal parkers! Like 99% of the time, you're all chill and willing to work with the illegal parkers. That 1% of the time, it's well deserved push back!
Kristen, I would not have been able to handle that woman as well as you did. Super job! She was probably still going on, but her husband had to have realized that you had said they would have to wait until Monday.
Kristen must be more light hearted than my wife. Cause even with the husband calling she would have made them wait. And just to prove a point she would have thrown in some storage fees as well😂
Good job Kristen! You absolutely do not need to put up with "Karen's" BS. I feel for the husband, and I feel like he has lot's of practice at making these calls. Stay safe guys, have a blessed new year, and keep the great content coming!
Anybody else think there needs to be a pool for when this husband looks at her and says, "I am SO done with your sh!te"? He just sounded so defeated, poor guy.
Never, guaranteed she’s seeing at least one other dude on the side and he’s too weak to leave. If he had any spine he’d likely never have married her. He was probably guilted into marriage by his friends/ family or maybe a pregnancy 🤷♂️ everything in life is a choice. Guess why after 8 years I’m not married to my g/f
I love the videos guys if i have time i may travel to the state and visit you guys coming from scotland for 2 weeks hopefully get to see you guys around
Wow the fee was not blanked out for the illegal tow for the pacifica , $300 is a nice chunk of change for illegally parking. I am definitely in the wrong business. I need to get out of robot programming and into hauling cars, I already have the F350 dually, I just need to add an under reach.
HEY GUYS LOVING YOUR CHANNEL.WAS WATCHING YOUR ICE STORM COVERAGE TODAY AND SHORTLY AFTER THAT TIM GENTRY +SONS CAME ON HE BOUGHT HIMSELF A H.D. WRECKER, I THOUGHT THAT IF YOU KNEW HIM TOU MIGHT GIVE HIM A FEW TIPS ON THE NEW TOW ROPES YOU USE HE DESTROYED A NEW YELLOW FLAT FABRIC ONE. THANKS FOR THE ENTRTAINMEN.
So do you put plate covers on the cars cause that Pacifica had a RU-vid plate with an everything auto plate frame. Was wondering if you guys throw a magnetic plate on to help keep plate anonymity?
I can totally understand the confusion and frustration, especially when everything is full. I think the hotel and church could do more to clarify for people. As an example, the hotel could stencil in front of all the bordering spots "hotel parking only," or the name of the hotel. For the church, a sign saying "church parking, numbered spots only," or even a sign that has a map with the numbered spots and gravel lot locations. From an outsiders perspective, the drive between the hotel lot and numbered spots, isn't a clear boundary/border. From your guys side, you are right in that you are just called to provide a service. There is no predatory action and you should be treated kindly and with respect, regardless of anyone's frustration or confusion.
This is a little confusing. I thought the Overflow parking was for the hotel not the church. But yet the lady who was upset said she paid the church and it was overflow parking that doesn't make sense
Rumor has it, the girl that owned the Nissan is STILL somewhere interrupting Jeff and not letting him answer a question or finish a sentence. In fact, it should be an annual event, a reunion of sorts. Every year on this date, she calls Jeff and interrupts him for an hour or so. Then, after a decade of this, we'll issue a commemorative coin, or commission an oil painting, to further remember this lovely experience.
@Everything Autos; without a doubt, the lady was rude to Kristen and should Not have been. I am married to a wonderful woman who, in general, in challenged with frustration. For the last 16 months she has been dealing with breast cancer, radiation, and is still doing chemo every 3 weeks. Some people have a Hard time, 'biting their tongue'. Some people, have a LOT going on in the background that the rest of the world is unaware of... The two of you are perfect examples of how we should treat each other. Let's all get along with each other. Let's try to park where we should ;) Thank you Jeff and Kristen
In these peoples defense, as far as parking goes, I lived in the area for many years and the signage is confusing in some places. I have also been told incorrect information by employees, I’m familiar with the area and luckily realized they were wrong. These days we amazingly get to park for for free in parking structures in TN bc we have a wheelchair van! Given that, I wouldn’t ever park in a numbered spot anywhere without paying! FYI, Chattanooga is similar though much less confusing!
As a fellow small towiing company owner, I deal with frustrated/rude customers same way....Frustration & emotions can make anyone vocal & vent... but when it crosses to a Personal level, intentional or not...ya get one warning/reminder... if it happends again... game over. You handled it perfectly. When she realized she crossed the line & was gonna hafta wait til regular business hours next week...Hubby had to work overtime to plead for forgiveness. Some life lessons are only learned the hard way... or the expensive way. :) ** Curious what App or system you use to record cell phone conversations & are they downloadable files? I used one a couple of years ago, but it did an update & it just glitched out &,stopped working, even after uninstalled & retry.... what.do you use? Thanks. Stay safe
Did you watch the video? These guys paid the church but didn't pay in the numbered spots, they parked in the hotels parking lot. A map from the hotel would never reach these non-hotel-custmers..
Seriously it’s getting worse and worse with the folks at that hotel. They are misleading and are consistently telling people that they can park when in reality they can’t and then they say that they didn’t call to have it towed. 😳
Well the hotel doesn't call. Lot security calls them in. If it's the hotel telling everyone to park there they would be getting 20 or 30 cars from that lot. It doesn't add up.
I got another rant here in Alabama we give our first responders a discount. Even tow truck drivers come on man. Give them a small discount. 20$ or 30$.
I can’t believe the hotel and/or church hasn’t made a parking lot map to give to their customers/patrons/members. That would be a very cheap way prevent many problems and hard feelings.
That's what I said!! 300 bucks for an 8 minute drive each way then storing the car for 2 hours? That's insane! Good money though lol. I'm in the wrong business fo sho.
@@martymcfly420mph6 Watch some more videos then. Sometimes they have trips up and down mountains (hard both directions on engine/gearbox/brakes etc), and sometimes they wait 5 hours for someone to come pickup because people have no shame. If you think you can do it cheaper, feel free to try.
We use the rollback for accident recoveries. It doesn’t fit in most of these parking lots and the dollies allow us to lift the car straight up without dragging it onto the bed. Also, we’re usually already in the black truck when we get called for removal.
