Thanks for that video. You explain it much better than any technician (who are the only ones in Germany, that are allowed to put that brace in the right shape). We had huge problems to put the brace around the knee before. It always seemed as the brace would be the wrong one and the company just swapped it with the one from someone else. Now it looks much better. Thanks again :)
I had acl reconstrucon surgery and I feel naked without my donjoy fullforce knee brace. I also have an armor and there both a necessity in my day to day activities.

i just had 1 thing with them, the number system are stickers on fabric so those are gone in a number off day's .but i have them 4 both my legs and they ROCK :P nice vid
4:14 after finishing all four straps, if you adjust any of the earlier ones, you have to do it all over again. The sequence is extremely important to get the max benefit of the brace as it is designed. You'll FEEL what I mean. I use the A22. People watching this - do not do what this guy does here with the #1 strap after the #4 strap.
I’m just wondering how should this feel around the hinge? When I think I have it on right, I feel the hinge pushing into the side of my knee, there is a bit of pressure there, should this be the case or should I not feel any pressure by the knee? Thanks in advance
After losing the use of my left leg, I put most of my weight on my right leg and that pushed my knee sideways a lot! I got one of these and the hinges on both sides of the knee keep it from shifting sideways.
@@susangarrett9411 Yes it will stop that. Just like the hinge on a Pair of Scissors keeps the blades going straight, from open to closed. It doesn't let them go left or right.
So, by inverting the Condyle Pads on the hinges area, you could adapt the same brace for either knee, or is there any other difference between a left/right brace?
Hi, the brace comes with hinge stops that can be inserted into the hinge to change the angle that the brace is able to extend to. I hope that helps, if you have any more questions please let me know
You did a better of explaining the functionalities than the sales rep who serviced me ever did. Didn't know up until I watched this video that you get a condyle pad kit along with the purchase which I didn't for some reason. Not sure if this is normal but the anti-migration condyle pad is bothering me a lot. Maybe I need to switch to a thinner size pad or get a bigger size brace? Thanks!
Condyle pad kits are an extra charge. There is no slimmer anti-migration strap available, but that honestly is a good idea. If you have good calf development and can suspend the brace on your knee without the anti-migration strap, then you can wear it without the anti-migration strap. It will actually help you reach more flexion without the anti-migration strap since it does get in the way.
Been a while since this video was done but is this good for soccer I had meniscus and acl reconstructive surgery a year ago. I need someth in my that will help prevent further injury
If the straps start to slip, try this... Get some extra hole Hair Gel and spread it over each of the pads. Let the air get to it, making it really sticky. Then where ever you place it, it will stick to your legs like Duct Tape and not move until you undo the straps.
I can not walk unaided. I am only mobile with the assistance of a cane. I have a partially torn ACL and attribute my instability as the reason for this. I can no longer get by with a cane however. I wish to walk with a brace instead. Are braces typically worn as an alternate to a cane? What are the chances that I may walk again by using a brace such as this? Thank you very much.

This brace would not do this. This brace is just a hinged knee brace with ACL strapping. An unloader brace would push your knee from the appropriate side to correct alignment. The alignment can only be corrected to an extent, but you would need a knee brace that physically pushes on the outside of your knee, which is what an unloader brace does.
Does anyone know if this can be used for cycling? I'm looking for a brace that will prevent my knee from buckling when I rise out of the saddle and do sprints or when climbing hills.
@@talhakq I’ve bought an older, but still decent model, and try it a couple times. I’m 170cm taller, and a bit thicker in my thies. I’ve got an Small, and didn’t felt great, but not worse. I assume I should try an medium. Anyway I’ve stopped use it, because worked on gym and got confidence in my knee. Wasn’t great experience, but I would still recommend the right size. It was anyway very light on rinning
They will slide if you put them over to of your pants or leggings. So clamp them directly to your skin. If the slip, add some Hair Gel to the pads, making them sticky like Tape.
Go to a Second Hand Store like "Value Village" and look in the Health section as I've found a few that look barely worn. Great place to get spare parts, like new pads or straps.
