This is a really good thing you're doing. Growing up transgender is not easy. When I first told my Mom she screamed and broke down in tears. I was only in 7th grade at the time. I felt so wrong that I bottled it all up. 2 years later, however, I told my father. He threatened me with conversion therapy and called me 'mentally ill'. It felt like the whole world was against me; even myself. I remember looking at my body in the mirror and crying. I was sickened by my own reflection. I didn't like my body, my parents didn't like who I was, and society as a whole pointed and laughed at people like me. My mental health was so poor, I attempted to take my own life. I had told a friend of my intentions and the police were at my house shortly thereafter. I survived. That was over 3 years ago. I'm doing much better now and am planning on going on HRT soon. Trans kids need all the help they can get. Thank you, hbomberguy. This is the sort of program that saves lives.

Hey hbomb, thank you for this. Mermaids has been *incredibly* important in the lives of my family coming to terms with my transition (and for many many others), and the more vocal support it has the better.
My sympathy and please do not take hormones or get surgery until you have seen good independent psychiatrists. Mermaids are a very dishonest and truly inexpert organisation.

YES YES MY BLESSED BOY THANK YOU! I'm the welfare officer for a UK university LGBTQ+ society, have been so since my first year joining, and we've raised money for mermaids multiple times. They've always been so supportive and helpful, and as someone with gender dysphoria they were a huge help for me. It means so much that one of my favourite youtubers is talking about this so openly and offering support.

Honestly? Not many people are worth watching on Twitch. Speedrunners play through the beginning of their game 800 times before 'getting a run started' making it boring, many streamers are insufferable and desperate for money. Some of them are even selling their body. I mean, its their body but uhhh its creepy when a 13 year old donates 5 dollars to see someone bend over to see their ass. Best idea is to just check out some people with ~300 or less people on their chat. Anything more than that and it's literally impossible to keep up and usually toxic cancer.

Charities are so laughable to me. Honestly, if something is soooooo important, and groundbreaking, then why the heck don't the filthy rich cover the costs, overnight? From what I can tell, the European version of DK64 was never issued in banana yellow. That was something that the US and, for some reason, the Australian markets had. Edit: There was a US "Not For Resale" version that used a grey cart, and (because I didn't mention it initially,) the Japanese version also had a grey cart.

hey, as someone who watched all of you 57 hours stream, i want to say that you're awesome and you should be really proud of yourself, you said many times that you were just playing videogames while some other people were being very generous, but it was in the third day of your stream when you raised the most money and if you had gave up in the first two days, with beaver bother or the beetle race, you wouldn't had raised as much, it was your resilience what made it possible. Hey harris, it's been like 16 months since this happened, and I just wanted to remind you of it's existence. You know, that really was a revolutionary stream. To have a fuckton of the huge "breadtubers", along with many other important figures, to help out trans people. What you did was phenomenal, and there's a lot telling me that this is the start of something, of really huge and tidal-moving change and activism on the internet that really does offer change once a whole community gathers up for the rights of people and helps make one of the biggest donations to anything ever. I hate to be self indulgent, but as a trans woman, I really hope the next generations looks back fondly on this, on an era of a lot of bigotry flying around, yet a time when people really could unite to pwn a bastard. Also, good on you for being absolutely exhausted yet going on after 57 hours, I don't think I could commit to something like that ever.

Mermaids is a disgusting organisation. They are happy to see children used as guinea pigs in order to advance their shaky moral and ethical position. Giving young children powerful hormone blockers is child abuse. Every sane person in this country should be thankful that their funding has been cut. Raising money for Mermaids is despicable. They are actively harming children.

Mermaids is a charity that helps kids socially, a group that informs people coming to them for help, like where to get access to trans related medicines as well as being an advocacy group. They don't give trans related medication to anyone. Relevant to organizations that sell or give blockers - the point of puberty blockers is to give trans kids more time to think it through, wait till they are older. Since HRT carries irreversible effects just as natural puberty carries irreversible effects. Effects of puberty blockers are fully reversible, the effects of a natural puberty or HRT are not. Puberty blockers are the safest approach to trans kids.

Hello from the other side. I think it's rather great what you're doing/did. I beat Banjoo-Kazooie about a year ago and it was a hard game. Watching this recorded stream will be nice too.
For me, this stream was the beginning of something big. For whatever reason, 18 year old "cis boy" me got super super invested in this whole event and it took roughly a year for me to figure out fully why and bring up the courage to come out to my mum. Flash forward to today and I'm a different person. I'm happier, healthier, more in touch with myself, with community and better and closer friends than I've maybe ever had. I credit this livestream to me figuring out who I am, or at least pushing that first, or maybe first few hundred Dominoes. It cracked my egg, so to speak. Thank you Mr bomberguy. I know it seems silly and really I'm the one who put in all the work to get where I am but it was still this whole event that gave me that first push to realise who I am I also played night in the woods because you said you were gonna make a video on it and stole the protagonist's name because I thought it sounded nice and now I've been Mae for 3 years and that video still doesn't exist lmao
