The sequel must exist and I know what it needs: -better controls -have Candy Kong, Kiddy Kong, and Chunky Kong playable (maybe even Baby Donkey Kong) -have Swanky Kong back as a host again -two new Kritters, plus Krusha
Since ProsafiaGaming forgot the timestamps, I'll do it myself. So, here we are: 0:00 Character Select Menu 0:48 Donkey Kong 3:16 Diddy Kong 6:18 Dixie Kong 11:10 Lanky Kong 15:02 Tiny Kong 18:55 Funky Kong 22:32 Wrinkly Kong 26:11 Cranky Kong 29:52 Kritter 33:46 Kip 37:51 Kass 41:05 Kopter 44:45 Kalypso 47:15 Kludge 50:47 Klump 54:13 King K. Rool You'll thank me later.
It would have been nice to get these characters in Mario Kart 8/Deluxe instead of all those dumb baby and power-up clones. All the Kongs and Kremlings including the Warioware characters would fit really well in Mario Kart.
I'm holding out a bit for a DK DLC pack for MK8D. Diddy's absence is still odd. Could add him, Dixie, Cranky, Funky, and maybe King K. Rool. I'd like to see stages from this game adapted to fit MK8D as well (and, of course, Diddy Kong Racing tracks, too).
God the nostalgia, I used to play this when I was like 8-9, I never got to unlock Wrinkly Kong and King K. Rool. I remember sweating bullets after a few races with my cousins, good times.
Jup... got the intire crew: The leader of the bunch (you know him well), little buddy, little buddy’s girlfriend, lanky (without the inflating), the funky shopkeeper (with a flying shop), tiny (who has undergone a change in design), dead granny, Jumpman’s rival, Aligator Goomba, little buddy Kremling edition, little kremling’s girlfriend, an attack helicopter, Tiny Kong (Kremling edition),a blue kremling, a kremling wearing a bucket and King identety crisis
If they ever bring Lanky Back, they need to get him a better voice. And I love that Klump is in this game, but why give him a bucket hat? He could've had a perfectly normal helmet.
I like that Lanky returned in this game, but his voice sounds a bit strange. He kinda sounds like an older Diddy Kong. I prefer his cute high-pitched voice from DK64.
+Da Nintendude That's not the same Klump character! [The (General) Klump character from earlier Donkey Kong video games (i.e. Donkey Kong Country (1)) wore a military helmet and was olive green instead of brown in colour.]
This is such a great game. The roster is nice and diverse, with most of the Kong Family, some recognizable Kremlings, and some cute new faces. This is my favorite DK game.
The reviewers gave it a lot of mixed reception, but I've heard people who actually LOVE this game. The controls just needed some fixing, only then could they like it even more.@@garretts6678
@@Nemmy72 Just how the original was playable with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck (even though during development it was considered to be played with the DK Bongos) a remake/port could easily be played with two separated Joy Cons, similar to ARMS. It can definitely work.
This kong's not a child, so listen up dudes. She can shrink in size to suit her mood. She's been quick and nimble when she needed to be. She still floats through the air, and climb up trees.
I get that this game wasn't well received when it first came out, but I actually quite enjoyed it due to how unique it was compared to other racing games.
They should've had Krusha replace Kludge. He was one of the big, musclebound, blue Kremlings that appeared in the most games along with his fat counterpart, Klump.. Plus he was a big part of the cartoon as well.. him and Klump. He was playable in DK64 as a secret character.
...or Nintendo could have *_both_* of them in a *_*direct*_* sequel to _Mario Kart: Double Dash!!,_ whether it be in a future Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC pack feature that allows you to have 2 characters in riding a single kart/bike or in a brand new Mario Kart video game!
This game was and still is a lot of fun and I find it strange how it got mainly negative Reviews. I guess those reviewing it just didn't like the Controls which in fairness could be temperamental at times.
The game itself was fine, but the motion controls got tiresome after awhile. Plus as quoted from my friend, "It looks like you're beating your monkey to beat these monkeys!"
I kind of knew about it because Brawl had a song from it, and some trophies, but other than that, I never knew this game existed. Honestly, back then, if I had just seen Lanky Kong in the roster, I would've insta-bought it for DK64 reasons.
You know, I'd never seen gameplay of Barrel Blast until today, and it honestly looks...REALLY fun. Maybe it's no Mario Kart, but it looks pretty different, and fun compared to the usual racing game, the motion mechanics aside. I kinda want this to come back, now, or at least for the characters to make it in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. owo
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 Honestly, yeah! I like kart racing, but we see it everywhere, so it feels...extra common? This concept at least stands out, and looks like it'd be a really fun experience with controller inputs, instead of motion. XD
To all of you talking about about Tiny Kong's change in appearance, you all must be new here. She's had this look since Diddy Kong racing DS. I've pretty much been used to it by now.
This game has such a great roster for a Donkey Kong game! Kopter is my favourite Kremlin! It would be awesome if the four Kongs from DKJB were in this game!
The only missing Kongs are Swanky Kong, Kiddy Kong, Chunky Kong, D.K. Junior, the Evil Kings from Jungle Beat, and the non-canon Kongs from the cartoon.
Donkey Kong vs Kritter Diddy Kong vs Kip Dixie Kong vs Kass Lankley Kong vs Klump Tiny Kong vs Kallypso Funky Kong vs Kludge Wrinkly Kong vs Koopter Cranky Kong vs King K. Rool
*My favorite DK Barrel Blast characters on this video imo.* The Kong and Kremling boys: 0:48 Donkey Kong 3:16 Diddy Kong 11:10 Lanky Kong 18:55 Funky Kong 26:11 Cranky Kong 29:52 Kritter 33:46 Kip 41:05 Kopter 47:15 Kludge 50:47 Klump 54:13 King K. Rool
Imagine having voice actors Phil LaMarr as Donkey Kong Greg Cipes as Diddy Kong Khary Payton as Funky Kong James Woods as King K. Rool Hynden Walch as Dixie Kong Tara Strong as Tiny Kong
Am I one of the few people who actually like this game?! I mean, it's nice to see some of these people here like it, but it *doesn't deserve* to have unfavorable reviews, the controls just needed some fixing.
Why didn’t this game have the option for Bongo Controller support(like it was originally intended)for future re-releases of the game? Modders, can you do this formerly monumental task?
We need a Second Game like that with Swanky Kong, Candy Kong, Chunky kong and his cousin Kiddy Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. looking younger than Cranky Kong, but older than Donkey Kong (to respect the history)! They don't need to create New Kritters, I just want to see them, it's okay if we have more Kong than Kritters. They can also put Banana Fairy playable, I think it would be a Great Idea! ;) Also, Theme can be more diversify, cause they re-used DK's Jungle, Beach and Volcano 3 times, against Ice Mountain, Desert and Temple Highway 2 Times. They can used Crystal Cavern's Theme, Kongo Forest with Pink Clouds, Industries, Swamp, Haunted Castle, Banana's Golden Temple. C'mon they can create easy new theme, like Hot Choco Fidge Rivers for Bananas Hahaha! It will be amazing! ^^
+Rubbocodille I really think that there should be 50% Kong characters and 50% Kremling/Kritter characters, and I want K. Lumsy more than any other Kremling/Kritter (aside from King K. Rool) to be in the sequel to Donkey Kong Barrel Blast (or in a future Mario Kart video game or as a DLC character in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe) as a playable character. (What is in case you haven't figured it out by now, K. Lumsy is my most favourite Kremling/Kritter, with King K. Rool in being my second favourite Kremling/Kritter.)
Nintendo could do a sequel or a new donkey Kong racer with some more characters. Chunky, kiddy, candy, redneck Kong, some of the kemilings, and maybe the villains from return and tropical freeze.
I agree. I like that you included candy Kong. Unfortunately redneck Kong doesn’t actually exist. He was going to be playable in a canceled game Diddy Kong pilot. That would’ve been his debut. But since it never came, he’s technically not existing.
@@eriksmovies244 they could recreate him as the shopkeeper or what ever to unlock races, cups, characters, and skins. If you buy most of the items 60-70% he’ll be available in the shop
