The Donkey Kong Country Cartoon first aired in France September, 1996. Daft Punk recorded Around the World this same year, later releasing the single in March, 1997. Around the World is a single from Daft Punk's first album, Homework, which was before they took the persona of being robots. Donkey Kong Country's 36th episode "The Big Switch-A-Roo" aired May 2000, Just a year before Daft Punk released Discovery in February 2001, their first album as robots. Daft Punk are also French. *Donkey Kong Country predicted the future of Daft Punk.*
