I remember going to the Goodrich Ranch in lampasas county back in the early 70’s. We were staying in a deer camp but had to untrailer at the shipping pens and ride one horse while leading our other horses down to the camp. This was before any cedar had been cut and it was pretty rough country. They still used a wagon and mules to feed. About the time we got lined up, 2 mules came out of the cedars and the wreck was on.
