Most of the questions have been answered below but for the record: the tune is Donna Lee from "Hi Tech Big Band" by the Matt Catingub Big Band. The soloists are Andy Martin (19 years old!) and Mike Fahn (valve trombone). Donna Lieb is another arrangement by Matt from "I'm Getting Cement All Over Ewe" based on the changes to Stella by Starlight.

I'm pretty sure that is the Matt Catingub big band with Mike Fahn and Andy Martin soloing in that order.

My Jr High band director copied this album onto a cassette for me and I wore the thing to the bone. But stupid me never confirmed the name of the band. 35 yrs later I am victorious in my search!
