I heard the saddest news yesterday about Donna Summer's death. I am heartbroken, but I know she's now in heaven where she belongs with Etta, Whitney, Michael, and Amy. RIP Donna.
Not one of the best. THE BEST. Donna ALWAYS Sounded on Point not 100 but 200 percent. Unlike Aretha, Whitney, Chaka, Celine, Mariah and many others who had a tendency to scream and force their voices, Ms. Summer projected with a crystal clarity and projection that came with astounding ease and elegance at the same time. And she was always CLASSY. Donna, Streisand and Sarah Vaughn are THE MOUNT RUSHMORE for me as far as I'm concerned. All 3 made it look easy and they cannot be imitated or emulated.
@@c.ostriker5572 I would push back a little bit on saying she's better than Whitney. Whitney belts I'm a much higher key, which can be harder to do continuously singing live
I don't think another artist, will mean as much to me, as Mrs. Donna Summer. I grew up listening to her as a child and through out the 80's. God Bless and may you R.I.P. You'll always be #1 on my radio!!!
Donna fué mi primer ídolo, muy superior al resto de las cantantes disco, una voz imponente, soberbia! Cantaba como le daba la gana! Una diva sin igual! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
OMG I was so heartbroken when she passed, still am, always be....I grew up in the 80’s with her songs, bring me so many happy memories when everything was so simple and had lots of fun with the kids on the block RIP Donna you made my pre-teens and teens years full of magic 💔
#RollerBoogie - I remember being a middle schooler and going to the skate hall and skating to this song, the disco ball, colored lights and loud music - why don't we still provide this for our kids?
I still remember my mom and my stepdad dancing her songs on the 1970s... Haha! It was funny. How much we're going to miss Donna! :-( May the 'Almighty' bless her soul...
This is my favorite song from Donna. What a great version - thanks for posting! Who is the guy singing with her? His voice is great! Her passing was such a shock and loss. I feel like I've loss a personal icon and hero. Her music has been with me while I was growing up and has stayed with me since. I will miss her so.
belive it or not i seen this lady comming out of the motown recording studio in detroit that was in 1978 i was 10ys old at the time me and my mom was standing at the bus stop right across the street from there.
Hello & Greetings fellow Donna Fan, .. although I have never seen this video.. it sound like Mr. Matthew Ward,,, He sang "Love Has A Mind Of It's Own" (Duet) w/Donna Summer on the She Works Hard For The Money LP. I'm not entirely sure :) All Praises to Donna! :) Celebrate Her Life & Music Forever
Mind-blowing performance. The guy here singing with Donna summer has a phenomenal voice. How he was never a superstar in his own right is beyond me Apparently he's does session work. I personally think he's better than that.
He's done some solo work as well. Gene Miller, he's a very accomplished song writer and guitarist, here's a newerish video featuring him ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UdfPX4ItTnE.html
