What idiot would give a thumbs down, for such an outstanding and never to repeat performance of the most wonderful singer, who ever graced the disco-stages!!!
She was the only and one famale Singer in her era. She was the Power of the Nature. I saw her twice in São Paulo, Brazil. Today we don't have Singer like Donna.
Such an incredible performance. So much energy. The full orchestra, choir, wonderful backup singers...and Donna. So amazing. She belts it out in full voice and always makes it look so effortless.
I am telling you no one can sing like my diva.I was fortunate to see Donna perform over 10 times and I met her once. She maybe gone but we have gems like this to enjoy forever.
I was born in 65. I was listening to you from the beginning and was with you till the end...you are truly amazing. You'll never be forgotten simply because DISCO will NEVER die
I see this for the first time right now and am stunnished.. Instead of becomming worse because of age, she became better. Singing live like this... What an artist, almost out of this world....
@@CelineOracle believe it or not, it’s actually part of the first movement of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony (obviously a symphony that he never finished writing) that they seamlessly blended into I Feel Love. I didn’t realize this at first, and I thought it was just an intro that was written by Robert Groslot (the conductor of the orchestra in this concert), but apparently it’s taken straight from the Unfinished Symphony. Here’s the actual symphony to compare it with: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0mnrHf7p0jM.html The intro in this concert is literally the same music, just played a little faster.
That intro and that blending! With IFL ! Goose bumps all over my body! And that closing with State of Independence.....Sublime! Well the whole concert was Impecable!
No one ever has nor will there ever be another voice like Donna Summer's. There might be singers with more this or that, but Donna's voice was uniquely hers.
Performing live like this requires a special talent and she has that. Donna Summer was at a level that only a few singers can or could reach. Such a strong voice. Even 15 years after seeing it still impresses me. It is just getting better.
I was there and watched the whole concert. When Donna did State Of Independence at the end of the show, it was like a dream come true! I felt, like I was in her Hot Summer Night Concert from 1983 - back in time ! DONNA The QUEEN !!!💖💖💖
She was 57 yrs old in that. And her pipes was at her prime. Sorry Mariah, sorry Whiney.....But Donna take good care of her voice, though all her life and carreer. And thats a Fact! There was Divas and there was Donna Summer .
How much love in your voice, Donna; how much love with your voice and your music. For my generation, over 60, Donna Summer is incredibly important; God bless you.
Una de las mas grandes cantantes de cualquier época a la que no se le dio el reconocimiento que se merecía lastima su partida pero su recuerdo sera eterno
A class act, completely in a league of her own. One of the greatest vocalists of all time. She made it look like it was effortless, but she had true vocal skill, unmatched by no other.
I was lucky enough to see Donna Summer in London... OMG!!!!!! Her voice ❤️ strong and beautiful... I will never forget it... beyond amazing!!!! RIP Queen...
BE AWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS LADY IS A LEGEND AND YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO HER MUSIC . ITS SO COOL OR MAYBE AS THE YOUNG PEOPLE SAY , ITS SICK!!!! GIVE IT A CHANCE .
What an absolutely fabulous show, perfect in every way, I wish I'd been there live, God Bless a lady who made so many happy and was truly magical, we will never forget you Donna, what a privilege for all the accompanying artists not to mention to have been one of the audience, superb...
....pop's first REAL queen. She came BEFORE the Whitney's and the Celines and Mariah's. And its very safe to say, she blazed the path for the super-divas, they became...because she was the first super-diva. I miss her a LOT. She's immortal, now...
To the viewer, You will see Musicians, Singers, and ALL those Assembled, Knowing Their Business. Miss Summer takes what she learnt on Earth, to Higher Plains.
Oh for them to work with a legend that they will never forget, and in this day and age it is captured for us all, how wonderful...10 out of 10 for all!
Huge orchestra, massive choir, and Donna’s voice loud & clear above it all. Donna had hits all through the mid to late 70’s but she owned 1979, her biggest year on the charts. Heaven Knows, Hot Stuff, Bad Girls, Dim All The Lights, & No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) all huge hits. Then in ‘80 she had two more hits: On The Radio & The Wanderer. And there were more to come throughout the ‘80’s.
Always had that same feeling too. She was not a Good singer, She was a superb songstress. And class act performer! Her music was and ever be , The soundtrack of my life!
God. I just thought - back in the late 70's I'd be listening to her forever. So strong and powerful in voice and performance. Got off work, cranked up her records and enjoyed. Her daughter Mimi was born and so important to Donna. Then - "lung cancer"? I don't think she smoked herself - as a habit certainly. Now I get why other performers won't perform unless the audience puts out their - well, whatever they're smoking. Burn a doob outside and then come in. If you're not "high enough" then you got crap to toke. No one - operatic or otherwise - can come close to "MacArthur Park" as she sings it. Not totally blaming smoke alone with her family history - but venues weren't conducive to great health. Remembered always - Working Hard for the Money!
I like your comments about how great Donna Summer ( AKA La Donna Gaines) was as an artist, mother & wife. You're right if you need to 🚬 a dood before the show to relax yourself, then do outside away from other people. If awhile if your mind isn't speeding at 20 miles an hour as Donna performs, then Bro you got gipped in your 🚬 👌. R.I.P. 👑 OF DISCO 🌹.
this is what real music talent looks like ..she's the total package she has it all ..and makes it look so easy... the arrangers and all the behind scenes people did an awesome job on this production for this concert is second to none , Great job you guys .
Oh yes, the second part was indeed part of tne original long version recording. Almost 18 min. Of pure disco/ Pop music Extravaganza! Search on you tube and you wiil be impressed. ;) its a perfect blend of 3 songs together. Its called Mc Arthur Park Suite. Pay special attention to "One of a Kind" when she sings 1st and 2 nd voice notes. Voice over On the chorus (Obviously pre recorded) her hight pitch was unbelievable, almost operatic!
@@bobvocal100 when i said to the original recording, im refering to Donnas version . Not intended mislead about tbe original version By Richard Harris . My apologies . Again not intended .
SIMPLY WONDERFULLLLLL, INCREDIBLE , AMAZING VOICE, ONE OF THE BEST VOCALIST OF ALL TIME. DONNA SUMMER FEMALE SINGER ICON IN THE WORLD. UNIQUE, GREAT, GLORIUS. BRAVO 👏👏👏 THE QUEEN . THE REAL DISCO MUSIC QUEEN
makes me so sad in the last 6 years we have lost so so many good singers Micheal Jackson, whitney houston, donna summer, david bowie and now Prince , what have we left pitbull????? goodness help us ....
In my opinion, I can only name few singers in this age who's worthy enough to be compared to the singers you've mentioned above.. One of them is Jennifer Hudson and Lady Gaga!
Thank you so much Donna Summer the queen of disco forever us our hearts. That intro though and McArthur's park wow! There will be another song for me For I will sing it There will be another dream for me Someone will bring it I will drink the wine while it is warm And never let you catch me looking at the sun And after all the loves of my life After all the loves of my life You'll still be the one I will take my life into my hands and I will use it I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it I will have the things that I desire And my passion flow like rivers through the sky And after all the loves of my life Oh, after all the loves of my life I'll be thinking of you And I'll ask myself why? Beautiful!!!

Donna Summer was a great singer that still holds her fan base captive. Donna Summer was truly a Saturday Night Fever in her prime. I am still riding a Fairytale High.
Awesome! All the way thru!!! Donna still has her great voice! Love the strings & brass! Funny I remember whistles being used a lot in disco songs back then, but this one sticks out among the crowd.
OMG....Donna was the best of the best...she brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear her beautiful voice and all the memories..shr was the best and I hope she is in the arms of the Lord and resting in peace....she will never be forgotten....we all love you Donna....Amen
Amazing how makeup can transform a man into a woman Although she didn't wear alot of eye makeup. I can guarantee the foundation makeup was triple layered
Im playing this over my HiFi system - it sounds like Heaven reverbing around my room - She's the Greatest - thank you for sharing this amazing moment in time so we can all enjoy it!
