For some reason her passing has touched me so much more than other recent losses , her music was such a soundtrack to my life ,good times with friends now gone .

Donna has been to Paris many, many times. She wrote this song for Louise Paton(forgive me, I know I have the spelling and maybe even his name wrong but I think everyone knows who I'm talking about.) which she sang and performed at his birthday celebration in a drop dead gorgeous black dress which he designed. I think she didn't intend on recording it or releasing it but after the incredible reaction she received she decided to record it for release along with the producer who worked with and produced Cher's album and hits Believe. There was even rumor after the huge success of To Paris With Love that Donna would be teaming up with him to produce and even sit down with Donna to write and record a few songs for a future album. That never evolved further than being just a rumor.
Really? It went straight to the top of the dance charts in Billboard and on Apple where she chose to release it without a label which was an extremely brilliant move and decision on her part!
