Never knew Ms. Summer's personal life but had like of a plethora of personal experiences which inadvertantly involved her. Donna Summer did begin the writing process of, "Dim All The Lights" with the intention of pitching the song to Rod Stewart. She and the band were able to pull "Dim All The Lights" in a Rod Stewart stye during at least one concert. It was pretty cool how well the song seemed to fit Rod's style. But, the producer's were able to alter rhe song right back into Ms. Summer's style, lol. Before Rap was publically established, i could watch and hear the late evening nyc park basketball locals having "Hot Stuff" on their boom box playlist. Her song performances had quite a long shelf life in various venues. Think "Donna" felt that the Seven Eleven event was a catalyst to her fatal illness. ((Ah think the original "Queen" was Melba Moore, sry! Alrhough i wasn't a big fan i certainly respected her and she just seemed a pretty cool lady for 'a legend'. I believe he said that house was on 40 acres of land and that he had to walk like 30 minutes to get to the house. I can see maybe why the family didn’t want to keep the place, because it’s like in the middle of nowhere on 40 acres of land. That’s kind of spooky to be out there by yourself like that. But some people like that and some people don’t. Also, your closest neighbor would be like a 30 minute or an hour walk away from you.
I didn't understand why they wouldn't keep that property either. The only thing I could see is, the property taxes may have been high and backed up. I would think if it were a problem selling it at 8.7 million, they could have taken an offer less and still got something out of it.Just doesn't make sense to me that they would abandon it for the state to take it for free.
