My favorite Elphaba! I was lucky enough to see her on tour in January 2009. She absolutely blew the roof off the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in Louisville and set the stage on fire!
I always watched Idina sing defying gravity, always thought to myself she is so good.....she is meant to play Elphaba! And then after watching Donna all I can say is OMG...OMG............O M G

Fun mashup medley. It is also different and enjoyable to hear a mixed head/belt version of Defying. Now if there can just be a rule to stop "woo hooing" thru broadway and live performances. It just ruins the performance experience.
Donna Vivino has ruined Wicked for me. She was the reason I fell in love with wicked and nobody else after her has ever played Elphaba better. I hear other Elphaba’s do the laugh after she is slapped during the fight scene and I’m always let down because Donna did it so well.
