Wonderful demo🎶🌞🎶 comparisons. The DDP-80 has my vote with its Beautiful sound sampling loop duration & Sleek Retro-style cabinetry. Splendid Songs💙 Trevor-Vibes❤️ ThanksTerry👍😊🍻
The DDP 60 has some novel tones Terry, especially when you played Left Bank Two. Excellent demonstration of both. If only i had one percent of your playing ability. ATBB 👍
Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush is the first played. What a tune! ❤ Second - Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles. Third name that tune is You're My Best Friend - Queen.
Nice video, Terry! Really enjoyed your comparison of the DDP 80 and DDP 60. The DDP 80's fully weighted keys and authentic piano sound seem perfect for serious players who want a simple, no-frills experience. On the other hand, the DDP 60's variety of sounds, built-in effects, and semi-weighted keys offer more versatility for those who like to experiment. The drum machine and metronome are great additions too. Your demonstrations really helped showcase the differences. Thanks for sharing those discount codes - they'll come in handy for anyone looking to upgrade their setup. Keep up the great work!
Great demo Terry. Costco in the USA just got their Roland pianos in again for Christmas. You would be a hit at Costco. I wonder if they sell pianos at Costco in The UK? 🎹 👍
Pianos in homes used to be a pretty common thing. I still think that most every home, especially ones with kids, should have a piano. However, conventional pianos are not too popular today, even though you can usually get decent Spinet or other uprights for free. (The flip side being that those are often difficult to even give away.) The cost of retuning is a real negative. So, I think it's great if people get an electronic keyboard like these. A full 88 keys, and weighted keys, is best of course. Especially if somebody is planning to also work toward playing a regular piano. It will simply feel more like one. But anything is better than nothing, and better than a kid simply buried in their iPhone or iPad.
I loved the description of the pedals including "the one in the middle." Some lower end spinet style pianos don't even have that "one in the middle." This also explains some musical notation I have seen on scores that says, "quello nel mezzo" which is Italian for "the one in the middle." Just kidding - I think.
