That's right! The world singers sing to impress their audience and their voices begging to fail after some time but God's children sing to worship and praise Him and they get better and better and better even unto the perfect day! Glory to God!
Ian, I totally agree, and believe it or not there are Brothers out there who can sing both of these guys under the table, but they won't yield to the Holy Ghost!
It's 2024. Pastor Micah was once our minister of music (mannnny years ago) when he taught us this song... It was stuck in MY SOUL. I often listen to my friends whose voices I know. Him, Nakitta and Melanie Mitchell...I can listen and meditate to their voices anytime. ❤
What I like about Donnie is that he makes the other gospel singers perform duets with him. even when they're probably going through something emotionally draining outside of their profession and don't feel like singing for God right then and there but you have to praise him even when you don't feel like it because thats when the spiritual breakthrough comes at its full impact. Donnie loves God and he has an everlasting waterfall of songs to sing unto him. I love it when Donnie freestyles.
I miss this kind of worship in churches. Everything just seems like an act. Not every church but it just seems like a rare entity when you see pure worship and feel it its just so refreshing.
Perhaps. However, Donnie has only one of his vocal folds (cords) working--the other one according to Doctors is paralyzed. So, for him to produce the sounds that he does is truly a miracle. And to sing with Micah (who has all his vocals working) and still do this PROVES who is the real deal.

I loved the way they stretched their vocal chords to worship...awesome love song to our King....Holiness is what I long for... its all we need....thanks for the treasure of these two amazing voices...wish they did more could have been an all night worship ....touch of Heaven.....

The gifts we are given are to glorify God and for the church. These men have demonstrated that. I thank you Lord for blessing the body of Christ with such beautiful gifts as the voices of these men. Funny how Donnie makes the introduction of Micah being a higher tenor (which is true in general) and then follows that introduction by singing higher than him the whole time!
In humility, consider others better than yourself... that's what he does here.. which is rare..shows he's truly secure in himself... that's the grace of God at work right there!

I totally agree; very well said. It's all about the glory of God. Yokes are destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27) I was convicted of my sins when I heard an anointed, but not so talented, preacher sing the old hymn "No Never Alone". Some may critique, but the gifts come from God; they are for His glory and our edification. We must remember, too, that we are lively "stones" with no two alike. I will remember the difference between talented and anointed people. God bless.
I really thought he was donnie... if donnie was a few years younger as his voice would've been even more higher... listening to this you'll think they were twins brothers... like Mary Mary they sound much alike... this really make me want to cry hearing true brothers worshiping in the spirit
