@giacomomassop, have you heard his testimony, where doctors told him he wouldn't be able to sing anymore, which was actuallly years ago, however he still sings to the glory of God to defy the enemy? He gave that testimony at my church over 10 years ago at my church in Florida so when you criticize others, you just might be out of order. If you don't like it, don't listen...
Actually, in this case @giacomoassop is CORRECT! We all know Pastor McClurkin is a gifted, talented and highly anointed vocalist BUT a musician must know his/her limitations and sing in a comfortable key. Pastor was trying to sing in an upper octave of A-flat which was making his vocal folds sound pinched and distorted. I know we all love a good growl and squall but not at the expense of damaging what God healed!
Donnie needs to stop singing at the top of his voice like that. It really doesn't sound good & a bit distorted. He can hit high notes but clearly he can't & shouldn't attempt to sing a complete song in an unnaturally high register. It messes up the song & appears to be a bit show offy, which of of course messes up the song. He can sing but he needs to stay vocally in his lane.
