People complaining about him singing to back track/lip syncing. What ever he's been around long enough he doesn't have to prove to anyone he can sing or preform. He's been doing it his whole life.
@@goldenjam_0189 If you think you are paying to see them sing you are kidding yourself especially if you go and see him in Las Vegas or If you look at the tour dates and they are all crammed together they aren't really singing. And if they are, the time in between they are resting their voice and a lot of them aren't going to do that. They may sing here and there but that's it. And If I am paying to see a concert I watch alot of YT videos to see if they are singing. Take Britney Spears it's been proven time and time again she doesn't sing live.
Y'all are all wrong. I saw him and Marie at the Flamingo in Vegas. He walks around the entire theater, and I could, in fact, hear him singing into the microphone.
@@goldenjam_0189 You're paying to see them perform and put on an entertaining show. Some can do that while also singing live, others can't. If you want to see someone sing live you need to follow an artist that is known to do it, most don't on a consistent basis.

@@Kit2ThaKat Agree! Several of the clues point to a '70s teen heartthrob. that hint about moms who had posters of him on their walls fits. The puppy toy could be a hint at his hit "Puppy Love." The cards and magic could be from when he and Marie performed in Las Vegas, but the latest clue the Wig put together with the Rainbow cape.....Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat which he was arrested. Besides that voice does not sound like Neil's at all!

Absolutely no question at all that Donny is the Peacock on Masked Singer. The voice is exactly the same as are the dance moves. The way he carries himself, his poses....it is so him. He isn't fooling anyone. Also I want his secret. Looking like THAT and moving like THAT at 61...
Why do people keep saying that? Never once did he ever say Michael Jackson was his "best friend". He merely said they were friends. Why do people have to make this stuff up?
Soldier of Love wasn't written for MJ. One Bad Apple was and The Jackson 5 passed on it. Ben was written for Donny but he was out touring with his brothers and they had Michael sing it so they could finish the movie.
Donny will be 62 in Dec and yes he does sing all his songs. He has for years. He has even lost his voice a few times. He had to have surgery on his throat years ago because he fell and damaged his wind pipe.

When this song was released in 1988 the radio station that started to play it wouldn't tell anyone who it was. They created "the mystery artist" for their station. People began calling in to request that song. They were soon shocked to find out that it was Donny Osmond. It was a big deal back then. I was in high school and loved that song.
Wow...the choreography here is unbelievable. I also like how Donny updated this song. He's using a backing vocal track here, but a 20-year-old would have a difficult time dancing and singing at the same time too.
Donny Osmond was fantastic as The Peacock. If his sister hadn't let out the secret, had won. But the audience ad young and he wasnt a black rapper. Everyone knew T-pAin was The Monster.
I'd say there was a very high percentage of artists who lip synched on television shows, especially in the 60s, 70s, and 80s (Solid Gold, American Bandstand, Variety Shows, etc). Doesn't mean they're frauds and don't really have talent . . . it's just the way the show was produced.
LMAO! You want to know something I never noticed as a kid. When you watch the old Donny & Marie shows, during the Rock Concert Spot (when they used to do A Little Bit Country and A Little Big Rock n Roll" . . . the guys behind Donny Osmond (The Band) weren't really playing the instruments. I remember seeing two dudes playing the trumpet, and it was so obvious, they weren't really playing the trumpet, because there was no trumpet sound in the song. And I know that Donny Osmond knows how to play the piano, because I've seen him do so live, however, when he was playing the piano during the Rock Concert Spot, it was so obvious he wasn't really playing, just acted like he was playing. When you see the old clip of the Osmond Brothers singing One Bad Apple . . . they're not really playing the instruments in the video. It's extremely obvious. But I know they really do know how to play. I'm not finding fault with them at all. I know they all know how to play many instruments for real. But just to film a promo video for a song, or appear on TV, they just pretended to play (the instruments are mere props) and of course, they lip synch too.
Donny still looks great, sounds awesome, a heck if a dancer. I always liked him. When I was younger I always wanted to marry Donny. It's a thing I called Puppy Love. I love that song by him..

The clues..let my little soldiers of devotion down (soldier of love), my first tv appearance at 5 (Andy Williams Show), the purple in peacock costume (He wore purple socks and clothing), the wig ( Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat), partner reference is Marie and the moves are classic Donny!
How is the partner reference Marie? He talks about going home and his partner saying something about him not wearing that outfit at home..unless Marie is his lover, that's a messed up reference.
