Funny how she only uses head voice and not belting but sounded exactly like belting coz her head voice sounds so deep and wide that you’ll thought it was belting 😮
@@Avan_19for real her head voice is so full she literally sounds like she’s mixing all the time, when i first saw this video i thought she was mixing and it took me a few replays before i realised she wasn’t
@@none2428 bc if she sing it it will be considered as “disrespectful” that she is trying to say she is better than her senior which is true but still i love nmixx and itzy they both are fierce
She’s actually telling the truth She used head voice in the clip (which was supported btw ) instead of belting to avoid straining That song is actually hard to belt tho
Funny how she only uses head voice and not belting but sounded exactly like belting coz her head voice sounds so deep and wide that you’ll thought it was belting 😮
She hit it with falsetto (head voice) in this video, in the original version ITZY sings the it with head and chest voice mixed (mixed voice), that's the reason why it's actually really high and hard to sing. Indeed Lily can sing it with mixed voice if she wants to, but it requires a lot of strength and energy, especially when you're sitting, it's harder than singing while standing 😅
it's also louder because you have to put power into it and lily has an especially loud voice so if she did it that close it'd probably be too much for the mic to pick up well lol
It was actually a semitone lower, to be exact. But her singing Chesire? That would be possible, though I would expect a bit of strain because of the phrasings @@yoongiverse.
She's just being honest. She's using her head voice instead of belting. She CAN do it, but it doesn't mean it's easy, or that she necessarily wants to do it while chilling
Y'all, pls don't compare nmixx and itzy 😭 I do not want any fan wars because of this video. I love both, nmixx and itzy, they're literally my ults And yes ik lily did not sing the actual note and used head voice instead Also, tysm for 100k likes! This means so much to me, thanks again!
@@W0NOW I think they already know each other and interact with each other, it's just that we don't see it because we don't see every single aspect of their lives... Lily said in another video how they're often together with Itzy, that they learned O.O choreo ... But yeah, a JYPE fam concert would be great, like the one they did in 2018-19
@@ClakyNotReversed I see. I only follow few JYP groups and only follow twice closely/regularly. They said that most of the other idols (Not including chaeryeong cause they basically know each other) just keep apologizing then leaving. Although, I really do think it'd just be a nice event for everyone.
@@W0NOW of course some are more close than others, some see each other more than others because they have more often training in the company at the same time etc .... I stan only one group too, which is Stray Kids... But I support ALL Jype groups ☺️ I also like a lot to listen Twice's and Itzy's music, sometimes I watch some of their content too.
Just to clarify, the way she sang it was in falsetto, in the Itzy real version they sing it with they’re raw voice not falsetto…but even so, lily CAN sing that her high note in O.O is higher
But Lily's right, it is hard. Based on how she sang it here she uses an airy tone to reach the note easily but with a natural tone it's definitely hard to pull off.
I think she means that it’s hard in chest/mix which is how it’s sung originally, here she uses an airy head voice which is easier to sing high in, though I don’t doubt she can do it anyway >.> it just takes more effort
I mean, it's true, the chorus peaks at E5 (which is very high generally) so props to itzy, especially considering that most of them have a lower vocal range. Lily can definitely do it with some effort though, she's sung Bb5 in MAMA which is higher than E5, she probably mightve been nervous to sing it with no practice but she nailed it. Shows that she's a really skilled vocalist!
I think she was talking about how hard itd be to do it in head tone, which yeji does. In the clip she does it in falceto(i think thats how its spelled) which makes it easier to hit high notes but its less powerfull.
@@miemellow lily is singing with her headvoice which is lighter and more nasal, and Yeji is singing with her chestvoice which is deeper and needs more breath, so Yeji had to sing harder to get that high note.
Chesire is one of the hardest songs to sing in K-pop with high notes in every note meanwhile ITZY dancing at 100% every time they perform it THEY ARE TRULY THE QUEENS OF K-POP!!
@@Kat-y_L HELL NO THEY ARE THE ONLY GIRL GROUPS WHO SIMG LIVE HIGH NOTES WHILE BEING THE BEST DANCERS IN K-POP PLUS THEY HAVE 200 AWARDS WHILE BLACKPINK ONLY HAS 60 PLUS ITZY MAKES UP HALF OF JYPS PROFIT THEY ARE WORTH MOR THAN TWICE STRAYKIDD AND BP SO STFU
as a singer i agree with lily. even though she is able to sing a Bb5 the note ITZY sings has to be sustained over a longer period while singing vowels that don’t make it easy. in this video she is singing in her head voice vs how ITZY sings in theirs in a belt. the cord progression into the high Bb5 in DICE makes it easier to sing than in ITZY’s CHESHIRE having to start at such a high belt without the notes to lead you into it. not hating on Lily. what she is able to do with her voice is insane. Hope this helps people know what she means by saying ITZY’s CHESHIRE is so hard and high to sing!
@@charliesingh7919 I said "and way much harder songs" it doesnt mean dice here but as she covered a lot of songs she sang way much harder songs than cheshire, cheshire is hard only bc there's some high part and dice is a song hard to sing alone as there's parts crushing and that long high note too etc x)
Cheshire’s chorus is sang in chest voice which is a lot harder to sing high notes with, lily did it in head voice which is very easy to do, she’s entirely capable of doing it in chest voice but she was being humble and just did head voice 😊
It is hard, the fact that she can do it doesn't make it any less hard. Also, she didn't really hit the note, it was a few octaves lower than the actual song. (no hate tho, I love both NMIXX and ITZY a lot!)
She said ‘It’s really high that song/that song is really high’ just after singing Chesire, just saying because you said you wasn’t sure about what she was saying there hehe
its indeed hard tho. phrased E5 belts in three chorus, the song is full of E5s and even Lily and Haewon, who are far above Lia, would struggle. sure, Lily phrased Es, Fs and hit a G5, but it was on a bridge, two times in the song. the Bb5 on Mama was hit one time, can't really be compared. Liky is an amazing singer, but she's speaking the truth here, besides shes hitting everything on head voice - but its a strong point for her, showing how controlled her voice can be.
shes probably tired doing all the highnotes, and usually highnotes is in the end of the verse, but the verse itself is fully highnote, but we all know she can do it effortlessly, shes tired give her a break
