Hi! I've been binge watching your Bayesic Training videos for 150cc in anticipation of a group of streamers New Year's Mario Kart tournament and was surprised to see a new one on the day of it! I really like how you go through your personal best runs and then the world record's in detail. I definitely feel more informed about strategies to use for the courses you cover. I look forward to seeing more!

Thank you for this video! I managed to beat the time trial with my kart setup, but I did a leftward drift on the bridge, into the water, and drifted around the corner under the water. Much more consistent and managed to beat the staff time by 3 seconds!

I like how this track features a an interesting risk/reward/challenge combination and decision. On one hand this track is really rewarding to frontrun (e.g. driving it normally), with the bridge/hump shortcut you can really outrun the less experienced players who do not have the skill to do this, this strat potentially grants you a huge lead in a 3-lap race. On the other hand, this track is also very suitable for sand bagging, due to the numerous shortcuts a combination of star and tripple mushrooms can allow you to make a super comeback. This strategy is a bit risky though but if you pull it off successfully it is very rewarding also!
Hey, thank you for this series! they're really helpful. Highly curious, I don't consider myself a very skillful player, and I still have problems with some "basic" NISC's like Toad Harbour and GBA Mario Circuit... but somehow I was able to get through this shortcut without much hassle even when you said it was really difficult for you lol I guess that means I'm starting to get a better understanding of more advanced strats, thanks to your videos :) On this case, my previous setup was kinda different, since I take the mushroom shortcut without a drift, then I start the drift in the water and take the NISC in the outer side of the bush. Maybe not the most optimal but it works consistently for my build.
Hey I'm back again today! I went from my "beat the staff ghost" time of 1:30.774 to 1:20.039 in 2 hours. Stopped working on it even though I know I could get a better time because I went to play something with a friend! I hope you don't get sick of me, I'll keep updating you on my times!
I've been pretty casual with Mario Kart (I was not a Nintendo kid ;; , but I can do basic drifting) but now I'm in a Mario Kart tournament on Sunday and you've really helped me learn a lot more about the game. I hope I can get super pro and at least be top 3, and I look forward to more videos!
I'm honestly not 100% sure since records have been doing shroomless cuts over the grass for a really long time. My guess is that it's not worth it because 1) It's a much wider line in general, and 2) It forces you to go into a watery portion of track which is really slippery and makes the line even worse
It looks like you went for the clean shave on this one. Is that the optimal beard strategy? I'm wondering if a handlebar or lamb chop might improve my time?
So there's another underwater section with some coins after the second section in this video. Is that a noob trap, or is it "good" if I wanna do like, a decent but not optimal run? I hope you understand the question.
If you’re talking about the section I think you’re talking about, the line you have to take is really bad to grab those coins. So yeah most of the coins on this track are kind of not really good
This is the first run I've seen you do when you don't even mention the coin line nor do you have 10 coins at the end of your run. Is this a part of the new presentation format?
Yup. Probably should have called some attention to it specifically for this video, but in general I'm not gonna be doing coin line recaps going forward since they tend to just be skipped over But yeah for my future videos I plan on just drawing attention to which coins you need to grab at the time that you need to grab them
