OMG!!! I listened to this video sooo many times prob. around 2010. It's an awesome soundtrack. The "glitch" is still there at 2:15 - was told that somebody listening behind the doors had made fun. Hope the four of you are keeping well
Poul, I am glad to see you are still watching their videos. I remember you from the back around 2010 when there was still a lot of excitement about the group. Jim
Love the job you ladies are doing. You do need to do something about the balance in the vocals. Maybe microphones would help. The lead singer is being buried by the chorus.
Anybody dooin’ doo wop is my pal. Born in ‘47 I’m an original doo-wopper. You ladies are doo-in doo-wop just fine and bringing back memories, so thank you.
My great uncle did doo wop aswell, he was in a group called the el domingos in long Island NY, they ended up becoming a 4 song wonders far as the radio is concerned. He never made a penny from it cause they recorded, tried to put it out, it got put off for 2 years then him and some of the guys went to war, and when they got back they were on the radio
They are actually singing in a high school stairwell. It was one of their favorite places to sing. The amazing thing about this performance was that they had six or seven minutes at the end of a rehearsal before parents would be arriving to pick them up. They had just enough time for one try at it. At 2:15 in the video some other student decided to join briefly and the girls almost cracked up, but Rachel the lead singer held it together and they finished their one chance at doing it. The original posting of this video had over 1 million view before it was made "private."
A while ago I found links to the old videos and had mentioned that I was planning to repost them, Sorry it has taken so long, but I just posted the first two, and plan to post more soon. I hope everyone will enjoy them.
I found many of their old videos on an archive and have begun reposting them. Sorry I have not been able to find their performance of Mr Postman so far. @@PavlovPavel1987
Their talent seems terrific. But, the acoustics aren't great wherever this was recorded. Love to here this recorded somewhere that isn't an echo chamber.
I showed this video to my daughter when she was a baby... she was a big fan. Today, she is 13 years old... and I wanted to know if it is possible to obtain an official CD of "the four quarters"? If so, I'm in Belgium... but shipping costs are not a problem. It's a gift for my daughter ;)
@@frankfisher5006 Yes, I have a vague memory of seeing the information about the cd on Facebook. But the group page cannot be found. It doesn't matter, it will remain an intangible memory. The group certainly no longer exists.
