I remember learning all 1st Gen Pokémon on a Nintendo game called "Hey you, Pikachu!". Pikachu would choose the Pokémon on the TV screen, and I had to say its name on the microphone. Good times.
You know what, I'll take pride in the fact that my 6 year old nephew knows more OG Pokemon than a literal professional gamer who was alive at that time. (He can name most of the 151, loves Squirtle, Gengar, and Lickitung) Edit: This video is a good source of nicknames for your pokemon. Pigdetta, Gopoke, Mothra, Vulstrax, Dirk Digler 😂
"Pidgey Gogeta" ...I would've preferred that for Mega Evolution Pidgeot... or at least call it "Pidgeto" like Vegito. "Is this thing a hermit crab?" I'm not gonna be the one tell him that's not a hermit crab... It's best if he doesn't know what it actually is.
@@anispidey Right? Not overly familiar with Pokémon, yet knows the one banished to the Game Freak Shadow Realm. Just goes to show how ubiquitous Pokémon was back then, it was like the anime/gaming Beatles.
