I have the Doogee V Max and it is simply amazing. 2 days since i last charged it to 86% and i have used it heavily most of the time and now sits at 42%. My usage includes gaming, listening to music all day almost via bluetooth, a lot of surfing the web and watching youtube, downloading stuff , watching movies etc, phone calls, social media, texting, taking photos, shooting 4k videos etc. And Brightness at around 70% and screen refresh rate put on Automatic mode.
Cool, I'm also considering this phone. Do you still have it? If so, have you tested the battery capacity with Accubattery app? How much SOT do you get about from 100 to 0%? And over how many days ofc I have the Unihertz Tank (It also supposed to have a 22 000mah battery) and I get around 30h++ SOT over 3-4 days (and night) if used heavily 😅
@@Stephanox69 With my heavy usage it usually last 2-3 full days now with my heavy usage which includes listening to music over Bluetooth many hours a day, some gaming here and there, streaming youtube videos, browsing the web a lot. Accubattery reports 22000mAh as does all other apps i tested the battery capacity in. I usually get over 30 hours of SoT with it. And by setting screen refresh rate to 60Hz and also lowering the screen brightness a bit sure helps too.
@@Stephanox69 No Android 13 update. And latest Google play update is 1th of March 2023. But i have received one update that added slow motion video recording and maybe some optimizations or bug fixes included in it.
I have owned the v30 model, 13 hrs screen time, screen brightness 50 to 70% most of the time at the end of the day 25% still left. It's not too big and too bulky for every day in use. All in all, I'm happy with performance.
I really like the 5G with the very large battery, I had S88 Doogee and that phone was great I'll likely be going back to Doogee the other brands I had was not very good
I got the Unihertz Tank and I like the Tank much better. Specs are a bit worse (on paper), it "only" has 8gigs of RAM; a bit weaker SOC; and just a 60hz display. BUT! This one has a huge LED light on the back. It has a 3,5mm headphone jack. And the build quality is so so so nice. Yes, it's 550g, just like this Doogee phone. But I am very satisfied with it. The OS is also very stock, almost AOSP, compared to Doogee which is a bit more MIUI/custom like. Is it perfect? No. Some drawbacks: - The buttons could feel more clicky. - The buttons can be pressed a bit too easily sometimes (like the flashlight one on the left.) - The extra software like the LED one feels a tiny bit clunky, but it's really not so bad. That's about it?
1. not just on the paper the soc is actually worst if you wanna compare to doogee dimesity 1080 2. the -25% is not too little in my opinion 3. the most important for someone who is live in a 5g ready city i think at this point it will not suprise anyone but (THE SUPPORT OF THE 5G) and this is why TANK will never be better than VMAX but you can expect that on the price too because the TANK is 100$ cheaper than the VMAX right now when i wrote that
I have the Doogee S80 and Doogee S88 Pro. Both have good screen brightness levels and I mainly use at 20% brightness for normal viewing, with 100% max actually too bright even outside. How does the new VMax compare?
@@RedskullPro Cheers for info. In that case I'll maybe get one in the future. I used to use iPhones, but hated the forced model updates...so never again. The only thing fairly decent on iPhone and Samsung are the camera images and video stabilization, but I mainly use my much better professional DSLR cameras for photos anyway. I don't quite understand why Doogee doesn't have video stabilization in their flagship models.
@@RedskullProDid you turn off Adaptive Brightness? Because on the S80 and S88 pro it really over-dims the screen unless you turn it off...and then it provides a very bright screen. In the dark, I normally set it to the lowest level because above mid-level it hurts my eyes.
@@disswitgan2376 I wish it had an OLED or AMOLED display, anything other than LCD think of the power savings and the better contrast this thing could've had
Redskull great video i was looking to buy this phone for work, but it is hugee! the 22,000mAH battery is good, but looks like i'm back to the drawing board!
$500.00 for a 1080P screen ?! Afraid to see the cost of the one with the AMOLED screen. As usual, aliens making a huge profit off of hapless earthlings.
Speak about the battery, l pray. Big battery is the only reason why such a brick is chosen. Please tell us about the rate of battery consumption and its survivability. I bought Samsung S series for beautiful pictures and other conveniences long time ago
@@RedskullPro I already have some experience because my younger brother has an Oukitel WP19 and older brother has a Unihertz Tank. I had the WP19 on loan for a day, and I would say that you can get used to it quickly. They persuaded me into buying this "brick". Have a nice evening, cheers from Hungary! 😎
It's just impossible how manufacturers constantly make these rugged phones with some flaws. I would like to have it as it means life away from the power source, but the screen brightness is a joke, as is the MTK processor (despite its performance - compatibility is problematic). The camera is weak as usual... Nightmare...
@@RedskullPro Yeah, that is why I like your reviews! Just take a look at the Ulefone website, they have 20 models, and all of them have some cons... What a stupid policy :/
@@RedskullPro I think it's because if any phone maker made a phone that was perfect to many people then that group would buy that phone and not feel the need to buy another phone after a year or two or three. They want us to buy and buy often so they earn more money faster.
Low screen brightness is a missed opportunity especially considering the fact that people who purchase this phone will probably use it outside, like the aforementioned camping example.
I just received the Android 13 update and it really seems to have had an impact on the brightness settings on my phone. Would that improve the Doogee brightness?
did my own battery drain lol and took me 4 days of heavy use almost 2 hrs of Genshin Impact and 1 -2 hrs moba everyday . Music social media, youtube for the rest of the day at max brightness. Took me almost 5 days to drain it completely from 100
@@latido441 did not have a detailed data for that but what can I say is the most abuse I did with it is 21 hrs of open hotspot and data and in those 21 hrs I played 1 hr with genshin at low graphics, had the Bluetooth on for 2 hrs for spotify/music, and did some casual social media and web browsing. I started at 75% and ended up with 39% when I reached home
Why it takes so long to do all the test. I have purchased this phone few hours back. Once I switched on the phone, it starts doing tests. Never ending! Have no idea, what to do. Can anyone give me some advice/ suggestions etc pls.
@@RedskullPro I wonder if you have got my reply. The thing is, as soon as I have got the phone in my hand, I turned on and put on charge. And then I have noticed on screen doing some tests says sensor , or something else. I don't remember it. Its been never ending since. I have tried to turn off. No way !! Failed all my attempts. I really hope i haven't lost my money. Don't know how to fix it. Frustrated about it. 🙇♀️🤦♀️😥 Anyway thanks so much for your support. Shal
The life of battery is determined by its maximum number of charges. If you have Tecno pova 3 surely it consumes its battery faster because of the size of its screen.
Will you please just check the FM radio if it is working coz I'm planning to buy this phone. Just asking for favor but not a video, only a reply I need.
@@RedskullPro thank you so much. Really need rugged smartphone like Nokia XR20 but the performance, camera, smooth Android like Pixel for my work and daily driver, SPen will be better. My Pixel 4 and Note has broken even with rugged case.
Not bad at all! But it's really thick, I mean when you can't even put it in your pocket... and the video.. it's like 15fps non stabilized... It's a good construction work phone, in lower light heh..
@@RedskullPro Lol!! That's what I'm thinking, like an emergency phone. Going up for a hike? Gonna be gone a long time? Might be something to have, but then just get a battery pack lol. It's HUGE, man!
Even if they really faking its phone battery capacity,. This phone still a solid phone with sot more than 12 hours. Because its really have a good battery life
@@KyleRuggles what i meant is it not might really have 22000mah battery but i am pretty sure its more than 15000+++mah because i used to have this phone. The sot that i use to get is often more than 12 hours up to 16 hours. So i won't really gat mad for that if the battery is not really 22000mah. It's still has a solid battery life
I have the S88 plus now and i absolutely love it, the only thing im dissapointed with is the speaker sound, how does the speaker sound in v max compare to the s88 plus?
Been watching you for years. I used to buy Chinese phones, but these phones are just mini "spy balloons". From a security point of view (I could be using this phone for sensitive business documents in North America) I couldn't use this phone.
I am not sure wich company spys the most. If you are not allowed to use this at work in the US its probably because of their Chinopobia 😄. I know people who work in senstive places here and they are not allowed to take in any private phone at all and that for good reasons. Liebe Grüße.
