You still need to balance yourself, albeit it's much easier than balancing on 2 wheels. It's said that if you don't know how to balance on 2 wheels, then you shouldn't drive a 3-wheeler. Your best bet is a 4 wheeled scooter, no balance requirements.

No, not commercially. But the rental company was getting rid of these scooters and this guy bought 4 for $500 each (for him and his friends). This scooter in the USA is $3200, so for $2000 he saved himself $1200 and got 4 scooters out of this deal, for what he'd pay for only 1.
