He, as well as many 90's shooter protagonists have a Hyperspace dimension where they keep all their weapons. It's somewhat confirmed for Doom Slayer, somewhat, as he has two circular disk-looking things at his hips, that might as well be his hyperspace arsenal storage compartments
well guess what the chaingun in Eternal IS A FUCKING GAUS CANNON JUST MACHINE GUN VERSION considering how heavy the gauss cannon is imagine 8 of them mixed
The thing I love about Doomguy is that he seems to have no fucking clue how any of the guns or technology works, because he's an ancient being, but he just rolls with it lmao.
What are you talking about? Eternal confirmed this is the same Doomguy from the original games. Of course he knows how to use these guns considering he’s a Marine.
@@Ace20A Didn't know that. I only played the game from 2016 and tried to piece together his lore from what was shown and written in-game. From Samuel Hayden's conversations and holograms in certain levels, it seems apparent that he was imprisoned in hell until Hayden discovered his tomb and brought it to Mars as a precaution, in case all hell literally broke loose.. When hell does indeed break out, Doom Guy wakes up and the game begins. I assumed he was an ancient entity because it is vaguely hinted in slayer testaments that the time gap between his imprisonment and his discovery is centuries. But it seems I have it all wrong..
I love they added the sound of empty bullet shells falling to the ground, even though the 99% of the game you won´t be able to hear that in the middle of a combat, haha
Its a cannon in eternal, not an assault rifle, you can see the difference of bullets when they fired, because of that it sounds a bit heavier. I like them both.
I have never actually seen the rocket launcher equip animation.. I've always picked that weapon up in the secret location in the foundry and it was just laying on a desk.
Seems like lots of games made in what seemed like around 2016 all had what seems like that same vibe and style of the guns around 2016, but idk it just seems like it to me
I will say this much, for how much 2016 is trying his damn hardest to stay into future steampunk seriousness, i think this game handled gift weapons better than eternal. Particularly because they are not only lying in the open unable to be missed... you have to hunt them in 2016. But also because in eternal due to it's arcade and hectic nature, you could literally interrupt the animation how it works by canceling it with melee or glory kill by _accident_ ...it makes sense on replaythrough, but on first playthrough for the love of God just freeze the enemies
I don't mean to shit on this game but man....every weapon looks sooooooooooo much better in the Eternal. The designs here are just so lame and uninteresting, but everything in eternal has personality in some way.
If you stay in ads mode with the precision bolt you can listen to the gun's music, made to sooth bored snipers as they await the next dick head they're about to blow off. Take the last line however you want.
