Sounds like the new DOOM soundtrack is more bass heavy. Wonder how i know that? Well, in the DOOM Eternal soundtrack you mostly heard heavy guitar riffs (Examples: Super Gore Nest, BFG 10k, Metal Hell etc..) while here the heavy guitar riff is drowned out by the bass, wich i think is fucking genius.

Doom has a long history of using catchy metal riffs to shape its soundtracks. I thought this trailer music was completely original until I heard a song called “Inside Four Walls” by Nevermore. I don’t know if it inspired this trailer music but it would be really cool if it did.

Its decent but it does feel a little flat and lifeless. It doesnt help that doom eternal and 2016 had an 8 string, chainsaws, lawnmowers, metal choirs. This just feels lacking in depth. By no means bad but you can hear the diffrence in passion between Mick Gordons work and this

I'm actually honored if you think I ripped that from the trailer, cause my version lacks punch which I work on now that I found some free time again. I will re-publish it on the rest of the media. But yeah the short answer is from scratch, I played the guitars, programmed drums, played bass, and added around 10 synths which actually made the mixing mess which I didn't think of. Cheers !!!

God i love the new vibe of this ost. It has VERY heavy medieval themes unlike the scifi demonic metal of the past two games. Its an INCREDIBLY bold move that has some serious promise. Cant wait to see what ID and Bethesda have in store
